Aromas of dark malts, ashtray, charcoal, tobacco, toffee, toasted bread, dark grain malt and faint vanilla. Pours pitch black with a thin brown foam. Taste offers chocolate, mocha, malt syrup, grain malt, toffee, toasted dark malts, dry coffee rinds and very subtle vanilla. Finishes with sweet coffee, caramel, mocha and dried out bread. Overall, pretty solid offering with a unique nutty, chocolate bread twist to it. B rating.

Hints of coffee on the nose. Pours black, viscous with dense clingy caramel head. Upfront charcoal quickly followed by the vanilla. Lovely soft mouth feel. The charcoal returns on the finish but never intrusive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft... Delicious! Black with beige head. Very nibby from start to finish... But not just the cocoa and vanilla but a nice coffee character, nuttiness too. Good stuff.

Bottle. Vanilla, oats, coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Pours a very dark brown with almost no head and minimal carbonation. Roasted coffee, dark chocolate and oat flavours - very malty. Medium bodied and very smooth. Hint of bitterness in the finish. Pretty good.
