Bottle. Pours a dark gold with a shallow, fine-grained, white head. Nose is fresh and roast jalapeno, lime, corn tortilla, smoke, and lavender. On the tongue, it has a pronounced hoppiness with a strong, even heat; there’s no green element to the jalapeno. This is definitely smoked and roasted, not raw, and it works very well. Enough malt sweetness to balance the heat. It stays with you on the long finish. Chili beers tend to be unbalanced; this one’s right on the money. Well done.

Well it is what it is... Green and roasty on the nose, roasty and quite spicy on the tongue. Glad I tried it, but probably won’t buy again.

12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988 from Dumpster Box No. 2. The pour is a dark orange with a thin ring of bubbly foam and a lot of sediment that is surprising. The aroma is all jalapeño. There is a hint of malt and a lot of pepper. It's plain and peppery. Ugh. The flavor is going to be terrible. And I was right. There is a ton of pepper. It's a little malt and a heavy pepper. The mouth feel is thinner and a little syrupy with a light carbonation and a lingering jalapeño heat. I'm so not a fan of pepper beers. Damnit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared with koleminer20, out of Dumpster Day box #2. Aroma is fresh pepper, spicy, dry, not good. Appearance is amber orange, light light tan head. Taste is sweet, tons of pepper, spice, fresh jalapeno. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, peppery spicy aftertaste. Overall, this is exactly as expected. Not good.

Hazy golden orange in color... You can smell the jalapeño fire emanating from the glass... Flavor is light golden and toasted malts initially, lots of jalapeño and vegetable notes on the palate... Actually a lot more drinkable than I had thought by the smell, the sweet malts kinda balance the fire... Not my favorite style but decent for what it is ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Smells of peppers, hints of hops and malt sweetness. Taste is pepper, spiciness, and subtle hints of maltiness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, No Label Don Jalapeño Ale finishes with a supple lingering burn.

Finally convinced myself to give this one a shot. Pours hazy copper color, white head with tiny bubbles. Aroma of caramel malts, faint peppers. Taste is semi sweet malts, a bit of roast, peppery burn on the finish. Not over the top, but it’s evident they are there. I could have a few with mexican food. Light body, a bit oily from the peppers. Novelty beer, it’s ok.

6 pack from HEB off Pin Oak Rd. Poured into an American pint glass. Thin white head with hazy yellow collor. Taste starts off with a pale base, slight hops and malt, then evolves into an earthy taste of peppers both roasted and fresh notes are prevalent; ending in a slight burn and an oily slick malt mouthfeel. Really good will be drinking more of this. I would like to see a Don Habanero or Serrano.

Sample at Kurtkeller 018: Tequila-aged and Let’s Agree to Ruin Our Evening with Pepper beers-tastic 01 on 11/04/2014. Hazy golden color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing. Vegetal aroma with some malt behind it. Medium body with flavors of mild jalapeno, grainy malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is semi-hot with a peppery aftertaste. Average overall.
