Bottle. Pours hazy amber color. Aroma is fantastic, jalapeño, medium sweet, gooseberry. Taste is also great jalapeño, sweet, spicy. Very nice beer, better than expected :) Dixonian (1562) - Plano, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2012
Deep golden pour with some white head. Lots of jalapeno in the nose with some caramel and earth. Taste is also earthy with just the right amount of pepper heat. Very interesting and well made. brewballs (215) - USA - JUN 19, 2013
I had my reservations about this particularly brew. At a Specs in Austin a person who worked at No Label told me to give it a whirl. It’s a brew you either like or don’t. And I like that. It’s different and unique. It is like an ale with a spicy wash down. It seems like a brew fitted for tacos or a bistec. I like where the brewer was going with this. It is a brew that exists outside the box. Cuso (8734) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUL 27, 2013

.Hazy amber color with small pinkish head. Strong jalapeno aroma together with malt, some berries. Taste, solid malty base which is overwhelmed with spicy jalapeno. Spicy finish. Surprisingly tasty beer.
Bottle. Pours a clear light orange color with a bubbly white head. Aroma has a fat chile aroma, spicy and slightly smoked. Roasted chiles. Flavor is peppery, spicy with a very warm mouthfeel. Tingles, with a nice roasted chile flavor. This is pretty nice!

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2016 Tap at Einstein’s Pub. Deep orange-copper with an off-white head with some nice lacing. Aroma of jalapeno (it’s much stronger out of the bottle), caramel, and light citrus. The taste is much the same, jalapeno flavor, malty and very slightly bitter with just a touch of heat. Light-medium bodied, average carbonation. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 19, 2012
On tap at the Big Texas Beer Fest.
The beer pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. The aroma is a mix of biscuit malt and fresh green jalapeno peppers. The flavor is more of the same and about what I expected. The biscuit malt is overpowered by the peppers, which are also accompanied by a little bit of grass. Unlike some other pepper beers, the chilis add more flavor than they do heat, which in this case is a good thing. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Bottle from trade with Crajun. Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with almost no head. Aroma is mostly jalapenos, a little bit of toast too. Really it smells like nachos, I feel like I’m at the ball park. Taste is just dominated by jalapenos and I kinda like it. Nothing here to balance it out at all. No heat at first but then it creeps up a few seconds after swallowing. Thin body, slightly odd, fizzy, and watery mouthfeel. Overall, I really did enjoy sipping on this even though its basically just liquid jalapenos. degbert (1774) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 4, 2017
Bottle. Pours a dark gold with a shallow, fine-grained, white head. Nose is fresh and roast jalapeno, lime, corn tortilla, smoke, and lavender. On the tongue, it has a pronounced hoppiness with a strong, even heat; there’s no green element to the jalapeno. This is definitely smoked and roasted, not raw, and it works very well. Enough malt sweetness to balance the heat. It stays with you on the long finish. Chili beers tend to be unbalanced; this one’s right on the money. Well done. baraciisch (3280) - California, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Hazy golden orange in color... You can smell the jalapeño fire emanating from the glass... Flavor is light golden and toasted malts initially, lots of jalapeño and vegetable notes on the palate... Actually a lot more drinkable than I had thought by the smell, the sweet malts kinda balance the fire... Not my favorite style but decent for what it is
