Hefeweizen with Light body, well balanced between malt and hops. Very refreshing. Named after the boss of the house...yeah the real boss.

Pours a cloudy golden color with white head. Bananas and cloves on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a very strong wheat note. Very typical hefeweizen.

This was absolutely dreadful. I bought it to try it because I love Hefeweizen and the cool label and name. It’s just awful. The main taste is horrible, the whole thing has a nasty bitter/sour taste that you sometimes get as just an after taste.

Bottle: Pours a cloudy golden color with a 2 finger white head. Smells of wheat, spices, mild banana and yeast. Tastes of wheat, yeast, spice and banana. Clean, refreshing finish. Nice German hefe!

12 ounce bottle, smells like banana spice, tastes like bubblegum and clove with a bit of banana in the finish. good beer would drink again like the bottle

Light amber pour. Strong presence of honey and lemon. Light bland finish. Good for hot day

mansquito (6438) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JAN 14, 2014
Texas Mesquite Grill, Katy tap: Pours cloudy light orange with a white head. Aroma is very much banana with some spice. Taste is basically sweet banana with a whole hock of spiciness. Not bad. Went well with the barbecue.

harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Bottled: unk Hazed gold with mirror surface, not really good looking for a hefe. Smell is banana mostly, sweet malts, touch of yeasty clay. Flavor is grain, wheat, sweet, some clove. Medium on light bodied with higher carb and a wet finish. Overall a not very good beer, needs more body with a better look and more complexity from the yeast. Nose is okay, could use a little more yeast character like the Hefe’s I’ve had in Germany.

ads135 (4607) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - NOV 28, 2013
An okay hefe with a surprising amount of alcohol. Sweet, lots of wheat and a little bit of lemon.

Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - NOV 27, 2013
A yeasty and clove aroma combined with nods to bananas and citrus. A voluminous frothy, mostly lasting white head, resulting from a vigorous pour, presents itself atop a hazy light yellow pour. Moderate lacing coats the glass. The taste acknowledges the holy trinity of Hefewiezens, yeast, bananas, and cloves. Also present are hints of wheat/grain and citrus. Medium body soft carbonation. The mouthfeel is creamy with just a touch of crispness in the finish. Overall, this is a decent example of a Hefewienzen that I would drink again.

Experiment_Ale (1098) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 9, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 Draft with orange in goblet at the rustic. Pours bright orange. Aroma is orange fruit juice with no citrus or acidity. Taste is wheat, orange.
