12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours dense pitch black color with a nice 2 finger dense dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, cocoa, vanilla, cream, roasted malt, coffee, and light toast. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of sweet dark malt notes; quite unique as well. Taste of dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, cocoa, vanilla, cream, roasted malt, coffee, and light toast. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, cocoa, vanilla, cream, roasted malt, and coffee on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of sweet dark malt flavors; with zero cloying sweetness present after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice milk stout! Great balance and robustness of sweet dark malt flavors; and extremely smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering. jkwood04 (5452) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 12, 2013
12oz bottle in an English pint. Pours very dark brown with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted and chocolate malts, light lactose, hints of metal, and light hops. Flavor the same, with the metallic notes sort of ruining this. Average texture. Not great. mar (5434) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 9, 2012
Black with a khaki head. Nose is sweet, lacto, roasted malts, and chocolate. Smooth palate, very lacto, roasted malts, and bitter. travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Black color with a very dark look. The smell is hay, roast, slight coffee, sweet, some chocolate, and ok. The taste is si
similar but with a smoother roasty ness. Seems slightly green. On tap at the Holy Grail. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Dark, may as well be black, with a generous frothy tan head. Sweet, dark malty aroma. Drunken at room temp, this beer is delicious and spot on. It has a very bitter, I.e. delicious, beginning, coffee, roasted malt, lactose, and chocolate sugar flavor. In spite of all this awesomeness, it carries a medium body.

Bottle. Dark black color with a beige colored head. Aroma is sweet, chocolatey, cake and sugar. Flavor is sweet chocolate and cake again. Definitely a sweet stout that has a thick mouthfeel. Nice. jkwalking05 (4743) - Arlington, Texas, USA - NOV 27, 2013

Black, light brown lacinf, lasting foam head. Stron coffee aroma, nice bitter coffee taste, not too strong though, just nice. Short bitter cold coffee aftertaste. (Velp 201502) BelgianBeerGal (4120) - Panama City, Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2012
