cloudy amber (theres hop sludge at the bottom of the bottle, careful if you don’t like that). nice rocky white head with good retention, a little irregular lacing. some citrus, slight tropical fruitiness, stone fruit, caramel, spruce, a slightly sugary sweetness that comes and goes, subtle (but noticeable) mint that lingers in the finish, fairly boozy. very bitter, medium sweet, not unbalanced. medium-full body, creamy feel, light carbonation, long bitter finish. looking at the other reviews i have to wonder if they tweaked the recipe since last year, because i really enjoyed this. it’d be horrible to drink in the heat, though. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 10, 2012
(draught) hazy burnt orange with lasting creamy offwhite head. Nose of candied orange, minty nose, light resin/pine smells deliciously fresh. Taste is malty, lightly resiny, biscuity and malty but loving this. Medium to full body, oily palate finish. PartyFowle (954) - - APR 16, 2015
Cask. Beautiful clarity; reddish orange hue; a big, creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and earthy hops in the nose, backed by peppermint and honey. Great use of mint in the flavor. Caramel sweetness, floral hops, fresh peppermint. Fairly sweet throughout. Moderate bitterness in the finish, delivered with a flash of peppermint, like one you’d grab after dinner. Beautiful creamy body -- full, smooth, rich but not too heavy. Hops numb the tongue and there’s a light, electric tingle of carbonation. I’m told it’s better on cask than on draft because some extra tea bags full of mint have been thrown in. Great balance of mint flavor. alcaponejunior (445) - Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2013
Very nice looking, kinda tannish orange with a slight haze and a great big head that didn’t want to go away and stuck heavily to the sides of the glass.
A definite mint presence is noted in the nose and taste. Sticky, resinous hops dominate, with piney notes being up front, along with some citrus. It’s a little sweet and the malt base is ample enough to balance out the plentiful hops.
Body is medium, carbonation is medium, drinkability is good for one, a bit overpowering if you’re wanting more than one. Alcohol is not noticeable much in the nose or taste but there’s a bit of warming on the way down.
It’s likeable, if not outstanding. I would certainly try another of this brewery’s beers after trying this one. cowboy7096 (64) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2013
I bought a six pack at whole foods. The 125 IBUs almost scared me, and I'm a hop head. Was a nice level of bitterness and had a noticeable mint aftertaste. I tend to like a more floral hop and pine taste for my IPAs, this one was more plain bitter. Overall very drinkable and I really liked the mint. And it's 7.7% - cheers to that!

Could smell the pine but not the mint. Taste is very bitter with mostly a pine hop flavor and a very small amount of mint flavor. Good IPA but the mint aftertaste kind of didn’t go well for me. Had to give a good score on the overall due to the unique mint flavor. First time I have seen anyone use mint in an IPA and have to admit it is interesting even though it didn’t really hit the spot for me. ericwill99 (95) - Texas, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Pours hazy gold, with a floral hops aroma. And it tastes great. I will be back to buy a growler.

This is a delightful IPA with all the robust character that the 11 hop varieties would suggest and a delicious crisp mint finish that is subtle but not lost.
Full lingering, toffee colored head clings to this cloudy, unfiltered brew. Effervescence is balanced and doesn't void the more subtle flavors going on here. Kudos, No Label!

Bottle. Pours hazy orange color with nice white head. Aroma is hoppy, spicy, no mint in aroma. Tastes bitter, hoppy, mint, medium sweet.
