Cask. Beautiful clarity; reddish orange hue; a big, creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and earthy hops in the nose, backed by peppermint and honey. Great use of mint in the flavor. Caramel sweetness, floral hops, fresh peppermint. Fairly sweet throughout. Moderate bitterness in the finish, delivered with a flash of peppermint, like one you’d grab after dinner. Beautiful creamy body -- full, smooth, rich but not too heavy. Hops numb the tongue and there’s a light, electric tingle of carbonation. I’m told it’s better on cask than on draft because some extra tea bags full of mint have been thrown in. Great balance of mint flavor. drsordr (2861) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 12, 2014
Bottle pour darker gold. Nose pine citrus and some dank ending with mint. Taste moderately strong bitter up front, more dank hop flavor. Mid palate sweetness then the mint shows up. Mint lasts throughout the finish. Interesting mix. Did I just brush my teeth? Funkatrocious (119) - - JUL 24, 2014
Pour from bottle after 6af5 exam. Amber pour with lasting tan head. Good on the drink but I don't dig the mint after taste too much. That's all.

First off, this is not nearly hoppy enough for my liking to be called an IPA. Notwithstanding, this is an enjoyable beer. Not outstanding, not poor, but good. It’s mint, citrus, and caramel malts on the nose, and the taste follows this nicely. It’s refreshing, sweet (hardly hoppy at all), and goes down smooth. It’s good that it’s a summer seasonal though, I wouldn’t buy it year round. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 29, 2014
Pours a nice amber color. Mint, citrus, and pine on the nose; all follow onto the palate. The mint is an interesting addition to this beer and works quite nicely. Different.

Bottle:   Somewhat of an earthy mint or spearmint like aroma.   Also earthy with a bit of a vegetal quality.   Not real IPA like to start, at least doesn’t have those floral or citrusy notes.   More of a spiced beer me thinks.   Earthy mint on the tongue, some vegetable stock, a bit of earthiness.   Not sure about this one, very interesting at least.   Maybe its wintergreen that I taste?   Yeah, could it be, wintergreen and earthiness... odd.   Thanks Bill! carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 25, 2014
On tap at World of Beer in Katy, TX. Pours amber. Vegetable, herbacious grassy pine with some fruit in there. I can’t pick up any mint. This is OK and drinkable, but not in the league of great IPAs by any stretch. Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle from World Market. Orange pour with a big white head. Aroma is spicy, a little fruit, and sappy. Taste is bitter, lots of caramel, pine, and no mint? jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - AUG 26, 2013
12oz bottle. Cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is of pine, heavy herbal notes (almost vegetal), and spices. Taste is of citrus, butterscotch, and pine with a hint of herbal mint..
