Big hop aroma - juniper/pine. Pours a solid brown/black with thick foamy tan head with ample lacing. The taste is hoppy up front but finishes with a nice rich coffee flavor. There is also a nice hint of spice from the rye. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, a rewarding taste combination. devilboie (3) - katy, Texas, USA - DEC 6, 2015 does not count
Hoppy, coffee in the right amount. One of the best rye beers to come out of no lable. Worth the try for fans of hop/coffee onceblind (11048) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 11, 2015
Black pour with a thin sticky light tan head. Big and lovely nose of roasted black malt, a slight sweetness, and loads of bready and spicy rye. Nice flavor featuring rye malt and resiny sweet leafy and floral hops, a touch of roast, a little black malt and earthiness, with a floral and dry hopped finish. Nice rye balance with appropriate hoppiness (dry hopped flavor is a plus) with a right amount of semisweet roast. Nice. kevinator (2884) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2015
Big black IPA. Strong aromas and flavors of roasted malt, nuttiness, coffee and hops. Pretty dark with a tan head and a medium body. Nice beer.

The aroma and flavor have black coffee, dark chocolate, spicy rye, an additional herb/spice note, some resin and a green note, moderate bitterness, solid beer that I’m happy to have stumbled upon. drsordr (2968) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2015
