Deep black pour with a thin tan head. Loads of vanilla and coconut bourbon on the nose, brown sugary oak, and a touch of chocolate. Big flavor with lots of oak, vanilla and coconut, a little boozy chocolate and loads of bourbon. Nearly typical bbl stout, but damn tasty. Almost has like this caramelly tobacco flavor about it. dfinney23 (3395) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Yum. Smooth and creamy and chocolatey and bourbon-y and rich and delicious. Feels stronger than it is. DrunkSanta410 (969) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - MAR 21, 2015
Tap at hay merchant. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is bourbon, oak, vanilla, coffee. Taste is light bourbon, vanilla, milk chocolate. A bit boozy, but not overpowering. Average mouthfeel, not imperial stout thick. Medium carbonation. Fantastic milk stout and well done BA variant. yngwie (17173) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 25, 2013
On tap at the Hay Merchant. Almost black this one, and topped by a small, dense light beige head. It’s a bit alcoholic on the nose, else really pleasant, with vanilla, black coffee, molasses, roasted malts and a touch of very dark chocolate. It’s way too warming on the palate, in a pleasant way. Soft, medium body and feeling quite dry, even though it leaves a sugary coating. There’s a lot of flavor, chocolate, coffee, molasses notes, booze, vanilla and a pleasant bitterness. Lasting warm, sweet finish with all the good things found initially. Too alcoholic this one, but in a nice and quite dangerous way. It feels like it’s at twice the strength, but it has the body of a five percent beer, making it very easy to drink. 130825 djd07 (15341) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2013
On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a very dark brown with beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, oak, bourbon. Thick mouthfeel with rich chocolate malt, oak, and roasty finish. Easy to drink, very impressive.

Cask at the Big Texas Beer Fest. Black pour with a few tan bubbles. You can definitely get the barrel aged notes in this one. I get some nice bourbon and oak notes in the aroma, with the same notes, plus vanilla, roasted malt and chocolate coming through nicely in the flavor. Easy to drink, with the bourbon notes not overpowering the base beer. Medium, creamy mouthfeel and low carbonation.
