doesn’t seem to be the freshest, but still ok. Light floral and minty hops, moderate bitterness and a firm malt backbone, caramel and bread. teamsale (273) - Washington, USA - JUN 15, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear red copper with a one finger beige head and minimal lacing. Smells of rust, pine, fruit. Taste is of black coffee and is malt heavy. Bitterness hits hard and lasts. Aftertaste is the best part of this one, when the actual flavors show through best. sulawang (1161) - - JUN 7, 2016
4oz taster @ VCBW 2016-Day 1. Creamy entry, good balance of malt and hops. Clean finish with not too harsh bitterness. Some pine as well. kevinator (2238) - The Colony, Texas, USA - APR 23, 2016
Aromas of citrus and pine. A little earthy. Nice copper color with a big head. Nice weight and smooth. Flavors are subtle bitter with honey and grain. Complex and delicious. deyholla (11609) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 7, 2016
Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy deep amber copper with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a strong malt profile with lots of sweet grains and some earthy pine underlying. Flavor has more of a grass and sweet grain combination with some pine and a bit of caramel.

Type: 22-oz. bottle
Glass: Clear hotel snifter glass
From: Whole Foods Market in Honolulu, Hawaii
Purchased: Dec. 20, 2015
Consumed: Dec. 23, 2015
Poured a dark honey, brown, murky color with 3-to-4 fingers of khaki white, frothy head. Excellent foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Excellent retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled cascade hops, herbal hops, menthol, rye hops, spicy chinook hops, caramel, toffee and veggies. (Smell - 3.25)
Taste follows the nose, seeming more like a strong ale than an IPA (even an English IPA). Got caramel, toffee, herbal hops, menthol, cascade hops, tobacco and dates. Very malty. (Taste - 3.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This should really be an American Strong Ale, but I reviwed this according to an IPA. Would have been around a 3.75 I would guess if reviewed this as an ASA. (Overall - 3.25)

Consummation: Citrusy and grainy pine sap.
Adjunct: Bitter, creamy in looks and taste, flowery, and looks nice. Alphadelic (2237) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2015
A nice oily body throughout this one. Tangerine and a little straw. A solid, leafy bitterness. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 9, 2015
Amber colour, small white head. aroma is fruity, floral, wooden and some mild citrus and sweet malts to it. Flavour is similar, with resin and wood coming in more evidently. Nice bitterness in the finish.
