Sampled the last of the 4-pack on National IPA Day. This grew on me with each sample. Bought on clearance for about a buck each, then sat around for a few months, so the aroma and flavor may be weighed down a bit. Still has that bold hoppy west coast flavor. Heavier on the malt...maybe some rye added too for extra sweetness. A hazy dark mahogany appearance. Piney aroma. Kind of forgettable, yet still a solid brew. Hazy brown pour with a large off-white head and lots of lacing. Aroma and taste is malty, biscuit, some caramel. Slightly bitter, big malty backbone. medium full mouthfeel. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 17, 2016
Bottle in Seaside, OR. Nice copper body with slight head. Nose is floral, fruity. Taste of fruits, grapefruit, caramel and hops of course. Nice and bitter in the finish. Good one. cmacklin (1372) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 3, 2016
On tap. Pours a hazy copper with a thin, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet, pungent aroma of grapefruit, caramel malt and pine. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel malt, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Nice, very aggressive. slowrunner77 (13204) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 23, 2016
doesn’t seem to be the freshest, but still ok. Light floral and minty hops, moderate bitterness and a firm malt backbone, caramel and bread.

Bottle. Pours a clear red copper with a one finger beige head and minimal lacing. Smells of rust, pine, fruit. Taste is of black coffee and is malt heavy. Bitterness hits hard and lasts. Aftertaste is the best part of this one, when the actual flavors show through best. sulawang (1208) - - JUN 7, 2016

Aromas of citrus and pine. A little earthy. Nice copper color with a big head. Nice weight and smooth. Flavors are subtle bitter with honey and grain. Complex and delicious. deyholla (12583) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 7, 2016
Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy deep amber copper with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a strong malt profile with lots of sweet grains and some earthy pine underlying.
