3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours two and half fingers on a clear dark straw colored body.
The aroma is spicy with some lemon and a little earthy.
The taste is moderate pine and lemon bitterness backed up by a big malt bill. It finishes with a long pine bitter note.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Bottle. Orangey Amber in colour. Thick head. Good lacing. Very Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus. Hoppy; piney resinous hops. Malty; biscuity malts, caramel. Nice fruit/hop/malt balance. Initially bitter-sweet citrus fruity piney and malty throughout. Increasingly bitter and dry into finish. Very drinkable. Nice well balanced IPA! (2014-11-30)

Bottle, picked up in Downtown Spirits, Seattle. Darkish amber colour, white head. A bit heavier on the malts than some IPAs in that part of the world, with a fairly classic pine citrus hop punch to follow. Decent. Personally I prefer this type of IPA a bit drier, but this was decent well made stuff. TimE (5953) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 3, 2016
Medium Amber color. Lots of crystal malt and citrus notes. Medium body. Decent bitterness. Good stuff bpreo (2863) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - NOV 16, 2016
Real hoppy (and it’s actually not a bad thing). Strong too. You won’t need many before you settle down to sleep. mysticbrew (118) - - SEP 10, 2016
Very nice ... Piney, resin aroma with a solid malt backbone, resin hop flavor and a good, not over powering bite to the finish.

Draft. Bronze pour with tan head. Fruit, herbal, earthy hop aromas. Flavors are herbal and earthy hops. Jabah (500) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2016
Sampled the last of the 4-pack on National IPA Day. This grew on me with each sample. Bought on clearance for about a buck each, then sat around for a few months, so the aroma and flavor may be weighed down a bit. Still has that bold hoppy west coast flavor. Heavier on the malt...maybe some rye added too for extra sweetness. A hazy dark mahogany appearance. Piney aroma. Kind of forgettable, yet still a solid brew. Hazy brown pour with a large off-white head and lots of lacing. Aroma and taste is malty, biscuit, some caramel. Slightly bitter, big malty backbone. medium full mouthfeel. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 17, 2016
Bottle in Seaside, OR. Nice copper body with slight head. Nose is floral, fruity. Taste of fruits, grapefruit, caramel and hops of course. Nice and bitter in the finish. Good one. cmacklin (1209) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 3, 2016
On tap. Pours a hazy copper with a thin, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet, pungent aroma of grapefruit, caramel malt and pine. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel malt, pine and grass with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Nice, very aggressive.
