Bottle. Hazy amber brown color, small beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of lightly spiced and toasted brown bread. Taste is cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpernickel bread. Earthy and bitter finish. Not bad.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color with compact head. Strong Amber Ale, with caramel backbone and solid hopping; it’s moderately sweet, it has bold bitterness, some hop resins, and a pleasant final alcohol warmth. The aroma is too mild, the malt is not really expressive, the hops are aggressive but not elegant.
Bold brew. I would drink it with food, but as standalone it may get boring.

mcberko (17845) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2014
On tap at BevX360, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma and flavour are more on the hoppy side, with piney hops, resin and bready caramel malt. Good balance, but nothing special.

bhensonb (15195) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours rather hazy blood orange with a large beige head. Strong aromas of fruit and resin. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is lots of grapefruit rind and resin over a lot of light roast malt. This is a mouth grabber. Excellent IPA.

Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, light grapefruit, light pine and light lemon zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, fruittiness, earthiness and light spice with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish.

Bottle. Poured hazy dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate spice hop & toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 5, 2013
Small off-white head atop clear dark amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, caramel, some pine, light cherry. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/pine, caramel, light cherry. Medium body, some resin, light acidity. Quite hoppy, which really isn’t a characteristic of a winter warmer. Tasty though.

hopdog (12568) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2009
22oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideAK (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, floral hops, lighter pine, and some citrus rinds. Tastes of fruitiness, caramel, lighter earthiness, and caramel. Some hoppy, spiciness in the finish as well.

DocLock (10689) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Bomber from State Line. Pours turbid muddy ruddy brown colored with tan head. Nose is caramel malt, spice of the nutmeggy variety, backup hops. Tastes rich, with caramel malt, x-mas spices, hops, and a complex finish.

Bottle @ Chad’s house, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a dark red appearance with a tan head. Caramel, light buttery, dull hoppy, uninspired aroma. Somewhat spicy hoppy, a bit buttery, toasty malty, caramel, a bit fruity flavor. The first miss from these guys.
