Syfher (455) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 20, 2017
Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; room temperature. We’re in front of a really beautiful and nice porter : dark colour with a beige head, powerful aroma and taste. The aroma has the usual coffee and chocolate notes, with also some spices. The taste is really heavy, as a good porter should be. Go go go !

Bottle at home. pours black, good, dark head. Seems surprisingly stable as well ! Smell is rich, intensely roasty, robust, oaty characters. Taste is rich, very creamy, roasty malts , mild bitter touch as well, and a very, very distant hoppy note. Carbonation is average, or - in my book - extreme improvement for the Belgian market ( as most beers here are overcarbonated ) very, very ncie body for a 6 %. This is a really great one !

Svesse (8615) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2017
(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 May 2017) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, chocolate truffles and sweet liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, creamy coffee, liquorice and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well made porter, both heavy and smooth at the same time. Very nice.

Robe noire trouble, mousse chocolat au lait moyenne et crémeuse. Nez malt grillé et chocolat. Bouche chocolat, malt grillé, touche herbeuse et, en début de dégustation, savon à la lavande (0_o). Bonne amertume, bonne longueur, bonne carbo, corps moyen.

SylvainCFC (273) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2016
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2017 Noir intense, mousse abondante presque ocre très crémeuse, très bonne tenue. Nez chocolat noir, toast, très léger fumé. Texture épaisse, peu saturé, corpulente, rondeur moyenne. Notes claires de café, chocolat noir, malt grillé, cacao. Petite astringence, belle longueur. Porter avec du caractère, d’une très belle texture, belle réussite pour ce style, rarement aussi maîtrisé par les brasseurs belges.
