Bottle [1L] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a spare diminishing foamy off-white head. Aroma of resiny hops foremost along with caramel malt and citrus fruit. Flavour of resiny hops along with some pine and citrus as well, some sweet caramel malt, fruit and a big, dry bitter finish -- simple but pleasant. Medium+ bodied. Pretty good.

Bottle, 22oz, courtesy of fonefan. Its a clear, pale amber beer with a finger-thick off-white head leaving some lacings. The aroma has an underlying caramel sweetness, but its the hops that runs the show. Pine cones and grapefruit. Some peppery hints in the flavor, pine cones and grapefruit too, the malty sweetness are subdued but present. Its full-bodied and semi-dry on the palete, finishing mostly bitter. A pleasant and tasteful IPA that I could easily drink a few of every now and then. 110319

Bomber poured into pint glass. Nice citrus aroma and pours a cloudy dark orange. Tastes of a balanced hop pine bitter punch with just enough malty sweetness. Creamy texture, overall very nice IPA.

2011-03-04. Crisp orange body, foamy off-white head. 3+ Modest aroma, muddled resin and light citrus. 6+ Flavour is similar, mild citrus and resin, light astringency, tangerine, grapefruit seed. 6+ Average palate. It grows on me a bit by the end of the glass but despite having some interesting flavours it never quite comes together for me. Might be more my style another time. Bottle shared by HogTownHarry

Thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Golden cloudy orange with a decent white head. Aroma: pine, toast, candy floss, caramel and alcohol. Flavour: toasty, big pine punch, quite a lot of malt, a lot of alcohol in the finish.

A: The pour is amber in color, maybe a little bit of orange too, and a white head. S: The first sniff is not a good one. I get butter and corn? I stick my nose in the glass again and its somewhat better. I get bread and floral hops with just a touch of fruitiness. T: Surprisingly, the flavor is fairly fruity. Some tangerine notes and lemon zest. Floral hops along with a slight earthiness and maybe a touch herbaceous. There is a bit of pine bitterness as well as bready malts. M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation. Not much of the usual bitter aftertaste going on. D: This one seems to need some work, especially in such an IPA-dense area like Southern California.
