This one poured a very dark brown color with a tan hea.Araom was of smoked malts, ashy, dark chocolate and roast. Flavor wassimilar, some green bitter hops, fairly ashy, but complex and tasy. Somewhat like a small expedition. fiulijn (21470) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 2, 2014

Black color with medium-small head. The roasted malt and bread aroma is nice, with creamy tones. Good body strength, lean mouthfeel; the roasted malt is dominating, but there is some dark chocolate too, a bit spicy, some ashes in the end, impression of ancho chili.
22 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and light chocolate. Bitter, chocolate and roasted dry malty. Smooth roasted, bitter and dark malty. Lingering roasted and mild bitter. Lingering roasted dry and chocolate malty. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Nitro pour at Mohawk Bend. Infinite dark mocha retention. Inkier color. Looking boss. Richer dark chocolate nose with piney hop. Taste is silky, wow much better than expected. Super rich and ultra creamy mouthfeel but heavy body and Black IPA type of pine hop balance. Really solid, in fact, the best nitro RIS I’ve ever had. Shockingly good. dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 26, 2013
The pours is so thick and black, looks like a waterfall of nitro bubbles in the blackness and produces a thick two finger head. The nose is coffee, licorice, chocolate and wood chips. The taste is high sweet and medium bitter. Excellent. The texture is smooth as silk, creamy. Heavy body and a very long finish.

Draft @ Stout, Hollywood, CA. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with weak hoppy hints. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish. Thisis12ptfont (1225) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Aroma is very nutty with some hinted mocha and toffee. Black in color with nice lacing. Taste follows aroma. Strong nutty/pistachio overtones with a nice toffee, charcoal, cocoa and coffee base. Overall, interesting take on an imperial stout. I like it, it’s not your standard imperial stout. I’d give this an A rating. mcberko (19227) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 15, 2013
On tap at Mohawk Bend, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, oats, and a bit of chocolate. Flavour of chocolate, roasted malts, and some lingering hops. Full-bodied and smooth because of the nitro. Quite roasty and hoppy. madmitch76 (25817) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2013

Opaque black beer, good tan head. Smooth palate but with fine carbonation.Rich dark malt with mild roast and mild bitterness. Coffee. Trace of hops coming through in the finish which is semi dry. Bitter roast malt and hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Trace of dark chocolate. Quite drinkable but a little rough round the edges.
Bottle thanks to Kasey! Pours black. Head is small and non lasting. Nose is intensely roasty, chocolate, come coffee beans, with rich breadiness and various fruity eaters. Flavor is medium sweet but finishes moderately heavy bitterness and mild roasted acridness. Full body-chewy and slick. wasn’t big on the aroma but overall impression makes up for it.
