This was sold to me as a "Pliny clone" by the guy usually sells me Pliny. Its a decent DIPA, but one thing is for sure... its not anywhere close to being a Pliny clone. It has a nice nose, and you can smell some hops. Its a little darker than Pliny. Taste-wise, it does offer some nice piney, citrus-like hop flavor at the front, but I would describe it as being slightly maltier than Pliny and the finish-- something which sets Pliny apart is the extremely short, clean finish-- the finish of Nobility is closer to Blind Pig than it is to Pliny. As my glass warms up, the finish is getting longer, and I have this bitter aftertaste that lingers several minutes after the last sip. These are $8 for a 22 oz bottle at my usual supplier, and I wont be buying this again. At that price it needs to be *better* than Pliny to make a convert out of me. But its not.

Bottled 3/15/2017 (7 days old), 9.1%, bomber bottle. Clear, copper, big white head. Smells mostly of papaya & mangoes. Arrives with similar flavors altho not as bold or sweet as Citra Showers. Some orange marmalade in the finish, sugary yet zesty. Of course a tiny kick of better citrus rind is there, too. All flavors balance out and remain subdued; none really jump out. Medium-full body, low carbonation, almost no alcohol detected on the palate. At 9.1%, this tastes like a lot lessits dangerously drinkable.

Aroma is not pleasant for me as a cat owner, but tropical favor and bitterness are nice.

On tap at Noble. It pours a super clear golden orange color with a small off white head. The aroma is spicy, piney and quite resinous with some toasted malt In the background. The flavor is the same. Resinous with some orange, pine, spice and a little honey. Mouthfeel is coating and pretty strong. A solid IIPA.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Spicy, biscuity aroma. Medium body, some sweet fruit and then a massive hop load that leaves a rather unrefined bitterness. 230213
