Almost black coloured beer with cream-colored head. Aroma is chocolate and dark malt. Taste is malty and chocolate but also a bit watery. Vladivostok (483) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2015
Very dark with deep tan head. Nice, well-balanced porter. Hop rate is fairly low and hence quite a gentle malty beer without much in the way of roast flavours. A subtle and carefully thought-out porter. Liked it. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 24, 2014
Amber- brown, nice appetizing colour. Aroma starts coffeeish, picks up some sugars and diacetyl. The palate has more diacetyl, slight toast, then it finishes tart, falling apart a bit. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 18, 2014
On tap at Noble Pig, pours black with an amber tinge and a small tan head. Nose is kind of chalky, with notes of charcoal, light coffee grounds and cocoa powder. Flavour brings out a mix of cocoa powder, stale coffee grounds, and charcoal. Chalky mouthfeel, leaving something to be desired on the palate, but the flavours are nice enough. Decent porter. Draft - Semi dark chocolate and roasted malts. Opaque black with a long lasting small brown head. Chocolate dominates, but with without the bitterness that can sometimes follow. There is a odd taste of sweetness in the finish, that isn’t bad but sticks out. Decent.

Pig brewhouse, Kamloops, Canada. Blackish brownish beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour had a reasonable degree of expresso coffee bitterness. Overall a nice well flavoured roasted porter.

On tap at GCBF. Pours black with little head. Aroma of chocolate powder. Flavors of dry chocolate and coffee. A little weak. reebtogi (6235) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 27, 2012
Pint on tap at the brewhouse pours a dark brown color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light chocolate with some roasted grains and hints of coffee and floral notes. Taste is chocolate malt sweetness with hints of coffee and roasted barley bitterness. Medium bodied with modest carbonation leaving a decent sensation on the palate. An easy drinking porter style ale which is recommended. rangorush (4) - British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 15, 2011 does not count
Beautiful dark with pleasantly strong mocha aroma and flavour. Snooth creamy head - very drinkable and enjoyable beer. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 4, 2011
Sample glass. Black. Nice roast scent. Roast malt and a hint of charcoal in the flavour. Light chocolate. Another easy drinker with the house sweetness.
