On tap at Mikkeller Tokyo. Pours a clear amber orange color with a medium white head. A nice soft perfume and caramel nose. Bready, sweet biscuit, light citrus. Pretty smooth and solid. jpkeskinen (515) - FINLAND - JUL 16, 2015
Bottle. Quite a decent pale ale. A bit mild flavours though but everything is in place. biirusaikou (2705) - - JUN 29, 2015
Bottle at Cool Beer Craft. Heavily hopped up with a nice pine/citrus bouquet, touch of tropical fruit, lime, biscuit malt, lingering bitter finish. One of the most hoppy japanese pale ales, recommend trying the dual-hop seasonal versions which are mostly excellent. Sevenlee (1846) - Central Coast, NSW, AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2015
Pours a hazy amber colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, citrus and hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a moderate hoppy finish. willisread (3342) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 11, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2015 Re-rate: Handpump at Gremlin. Kind of boring and one-dimensional pale ale. Very mild flavors without much hop character. I prefer the single hop version of the pale ale by a longshot. On tap at Popeye served in a shaker. Light amber color with only a bit of foam present. Strong piney aroma with a bit of papaya present. Well-balanced and not overly bitter on the palate. Almost sessionable. Really flavorful pale ale.

Tap at Popeye, Tokyo.
Amber color, small white head. Nice piney, tropical fruity hop aroma. Light-bodied. Pale malty, tropical fruits and resin. Ok pa. Westkyoto77 (635) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 30, 2014
Draught at Bungalow. Dark honey-colored body, neat white head. Inviting aromas of citra hops, berries and yeast. Earthy and rich, but with strong grapefruit, biscuit and and citrus. Juicy, but with a nice amount of depth. A nice, very sessionable beer. maekchu (3911) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAY 26, 2014
Draught at Kamikaze. Medium citrusy nose, with decent hopping, some catty notes, too. Light hazy straw color. Big citrus hopping in initial, mild fruitiness continues throughout. Thin body. Tasty, hop dominant, and a little too thin. KansaiBeerLvrs (5152) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 30, 2013
Cask, 5% on hand pump at Ushi-Tora. 700 yen for 270ml. Clear yellow gold, half cm of creamy foam. The aroma is a pleasing pine & herbal hoppiness. The mouthfeel is smooth, fairly full bodied with that nice cask fullness/smoothness to it. The taste is as the nose light pine, good herbal+flower notes, nice malt profile balancing the hops with maybe a little touch of caramel. The finish is a straight bitter one with pine-good and clean. A really nice beer.
