COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chocolate and brown malts contribute a deep rich color with Ruby highlights in this robust Porter. Bitterness from American chocolate malt is balanced by the sweet roastiness of toasted organic coconut.

Poured from can. Aroma of nut and roasted malt. Appearance is almost stout like - dark mahogany with strong tan head. Tasting the roasted malt with the dry cocoa and a bit of coconut. Some hops as well. Palate is full flavored with enough carbonation to distinguish from a stout. Overall, great porter.

Pretty good porter. Just a bit of coffee flavor and a full palate but a long palate after with an odd throaty taste. Good head and rings. Very drinkable over on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tallboy can picked up at Craft and Draft Columbia. Huge aroma of roasted malt, roasted nuts, coffee and green coconut. Nice flavor with coffee and espresso. I honestly didnt get much coconut but the lingering flavors were nice anyway. Im really liking this brewery...wish the distributed to FL.

Intense toasted dark malts, cacao, filter coffee, light, sweet chocolate. Hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. Dark roast filter coffee, toasted dark malts, cacao, charcoal, some molasses, but immediately turning quite bitter and dry in the finish, lively carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice Porter, intense and rich aroma and palate. Keg at A Taste of Carolina, Charlotte.

Tall boy into a pint glass. Pours black, with a medium khaki head that lasts. Nose is cocoa and dark roast malt. Taste follows. Creamy mouth feel, with good cocoa and toasted coconut flavors. Some bitterness on the finish. Nicely rounded, well-balanced. Good stuff.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2016 Nice tallboy, very dark not quite opaque. Rich, nutty and roasty aroma. Sturdy, coffeeish flavors, very lightly sweet. Medium body. Finishes out with a lot of bittersweet chocolate. Thanks to NoleBeerNoleFun from BeerAdvocate.

Tasted from can. Pours very dark cola colored brown with thin beige head that fades very quickly. Aroma is coconut, vanilla and dark chocolate. Taste is big time bitter chocolate. Not so much coconut on the taste. Also flavors of caramel and coffee. A little more bitter than I like but still a well done Porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another solid beer from this brewery. Roasted barley surrounded by notes of chocolate. Easy drinking for what it is.

Draft at CLT airport. Dark and brooding. Bitter chocolate nose. Drinks with a nice cocoa essence. Lighter bodied, despite the flavor heft. (#6191, 5/14/2016)

Pours burnt brown with a thin white head that lingers at the edges. Coco aroma with slight coffee aroma. Nice chocolate porter that isn't too sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
