Had hot Carolina reaper sauce at polliwogs before this beer so senses are surely messed up...clemson gt game...taste is light mellow malt smoothness...no carbonation...waited a while...sweet malt but not great or depth of flavor... BeerdedDave (2043) - Beckley, USA - AUG 3, 2016
16 oz can from the brewery; red to deep amber color; bready malt aroma with hop notes; bready malt and a nice hop bitterness; a well balanced beer tkolke (8) - chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 23, 2016 does not count
On tap at Queen City q. Rich malt flavor with a nice copper/red color. Served in pint glass with about 1 finger of head that quickly dissipated, leaving a consistent layer at the top throughout. Medium body, with caramel flavor and very slight hop flavor that remains understated. Very drinkable. bubbleflubber (2244) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JAN 16, 2016
On draught at the brewery, this pours a milky-caramel into the glass with a decent eggshell cap that reduces to wash lace. The nose is malty with hints at sourdough. Flavors are of copper, malt, biscuits and berries. Lightly metallic, long hop-forward finish. Sessionable palate, well-bodied, not too heavy, yet substantial and complex. Decent carbonation and great drinkability lend to a nice session red. Kudos.

Draft. Pours a slightly hazed copper red with an offwhite head. Notes in the nose include caramel with a slight dark fruit note. Medium mouthfeel. Caramel, toffee, a bit sweet. Overall, it leaves a little to be desired. Wasn’t my favorite I’ve tried but drinkable. jtclockwork (17771) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 24, 2015
