Cask at the brewpub in PHL, Scottish fucking ale for the love of ticks !!! 26/11/13. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is malt forward, toffee, dark fruit, nutty twang. Taste comprises toffee, brown bread dough, straw, biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finale with light bitter notes. Very so avec so !

(10/19/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Philadelphia. Clear deep amber color. Malty aroma with some earthy notes and light hoppy hints. Sweet malty flavor with some bread and a bit of fruits. Medium-bodied. Not great.

On tap at The Nodding Head. Pours a clear light caramel with a medium sized beige head. Faint caramel, a touch of toast, Little grainy, but quite light and crisp. Finishes with a bit more grain, a touch of caramel, and a bit of toast.

Tap at brewery. Ash and sour malt aroma - very slight brine aroma initially that faded as it warmed. Dark amber color with a small head. Mild sour malt flavor with a very nice light smoky malt aftertaste. Light bodied. A tasty beer but on the light side.
