an excellent beer for you and that chick you are hitting on who ’hates beer.’ but you really shouldn’t be hitting on a chick who hates beer now should you? Braudog (6710) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - APR 5, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2007 This is perhaps the best light ale I’ve had in a long, long time. It’s a light golden beauty with a hoppy nose. The flavor is flowery with hops and sweetness. Incredibly smooth, and like they say it’s not overpoweringly bitter, either. RAUCHFEST (122) - PROSPECT PARK, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2002
its a summer brew and quite drinkable. oh im just trying to raise the number after my name jcalbi (380) - Medford, New Jersey, USA - JUN 16, 2002
Very light bright gold with a nice yeast-in-suspension body and a dense white head. Slight fruity aroma. Plenty of flavor with evidence of various citrus elements. Nice but not overwhelming malt profile. I honestly looked at this beer and thought that I would not like it. Never judge a book by its cover! fuchebu (146) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2002
a pretty good translation of the style. Doesn’t quite nail the chewy bite in the finish. still a good warm weather brew.

A person I was with described this in terms of "the first caught trout in a spring cast". Well... It is true this is a very good beer. As light as any light beer, good head, but whoa! what an aroma of orange and bubblegum, with similar flavors. An astringent palate, interesting citric notes. A worthy beer. Golden and hazy with a thin white head. Light floral aroma. Smooth light hint of lemon. Very drinkable with a bit of a dry finish

I think mike oberdorf said it best: "WHAAAAA?" An average of 3.92? This was mediocre at best. Actually, it tasted like a slightly less hoppy version of their BPA. I thought it was a golden/blonde ale. A Kolsch? I highly doubt it. I’ll be happy to take this beer down a peg or two. kkearn (1165) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2007
Draft. Pale golden color with a thin white head. Fresh hop aroma with citrus and some grainy notes. Fresh hop flavor with a citric finish. Refreshing.
