COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Half a World Away is an Imperial Red Ale and the culmination of Ingrid and Nick’s great adventure. In the collaborative brewers exchange with Holgate Brewhouse of Woodend, Victoria in Australia the two brewers swapped lives and jobs. Inspired by the basic ingredients of beer, the reciepe for this malty ale was developed side by side with friendships with brewers half a world away. Pairs well with rich barbeque dishes. Enjoy in good company.

Bottle from Den Nordiske Ølhandel, Copenhagen; batch 951, brewed 09.04.13, bb 09.04.17
Dark amber color, apparently cloudy, with small head. Strong aroma of caramel with a touch of fudge and figs. Full bodied; caramel flavor, quite sweet, with a fruity and slightly acidic touch, impression of dates; strong bitterness, some hop resins in the final.
Nothing special; too expensive.

Pinball (12148) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 30, 2014
cloudy red amber brown, smooth light brown head. Very nice head. Malty and nutty aroma. flavor is malty, very faint tart, vineous notes, whatever hops are used are used for bitterness rather than taste, caramel, malts, woody vineuous notes and alc. is dominant. taste is sort of like an english style barley wine. Many finer notes in the brew. Quite complex.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Some candis notes. Long heavy bitter fniish. Creamy palate.
