Habanero (4684) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - DEC 18, 2012
Bottled. Pours deep brown with a large , beige head, that leaves a good lacing on the glass. Nose of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and licorice. Sweet flavor with a more dry and bitter. Full bodied, creamy texture and soft CO2. An excellent brew. ★★★★

500ml bottle from the lcbo. Black pour, large brown head. Big roast, pine resin hops, soft spice from the rye, and hints of bitter cocoa. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is medium bitter, with strong licorice notes, anise, fennel and more pine. Sweetness fades and pine rounds everything out, with more roast.

Pours a viscous dark brown with deep rugby highlights. Dense chestnut brown head. Nose is pretty nice, burnt sugar and charred grain with some dark fruit. Kind if acrid with some chocolate. Very ashy and pacific dark grain dominant flavor. Very sharp and charred. Medium full body. Bleh

Draught at DBF2012. Black with a light brown head. Aroma heavy malty (bread, roasted, spicy, dark fruits, chocolate). Flavor medium sweet and bitter, light spicy, in a good balance. Full body, smooth.

Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - NOV 20, 2012
Clear black body, reddish hue, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, soy sauce, liquorice, coffee, hops and rough cacao. Sweetish flavour, rye, quite bitter and roasted malts. Quite creamy, full body, lasting bitter finish, hops and bitter coffee.
Another great beer by Nøgne Ø.

MrHangover (4564) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JAN 24, 2014
Bottle @ Nieuwjaarsborrel 2014, courtesy of jmgreenuk. Pours a very dark brown beer with a small brown head on top. Aroma is grainy, rye and has some licorice. Flavor is very sweet with a big grainy base in it. The sweetness is backed up by a big bitter flavor in the back. Balance is very good in this beer, yet it’s missing a few components to be a great beer. Still quite good.

Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of licorice, chocolate, light coffee and bread. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Really nice.
