Bottle. It pours a dense, almost creamy, tan head of two-finger size. Both lasting and lacings producing. Not black in color, but pretty close. The aroma is on the dark side, as expected, with roasted malts, mocha, milk chocolate and some alcohol notes and a pleasant piney, citrus peel-like hoppyness. Mellow and pleasant. Really pleasant actually, even though I’m not in the mood for dark, heavy ales for the moment. The flavor continues what the aroma started, it’s oily and smooth on the palate, although a bit warming. Soft carbonation, and towards the end the bitterness adds another dimension to the flavor. Bottle. Pours black with tan brown head. Nose and taste of rye, roasted chocolate malt, roasted coffee, vanilla and milk chocolate. Finishes quite dry with a rye/chocolate finish. Rich rye aroma, loevly full body. Sticky rye-bread everywhere. Yummy body, just so scrumptious. I love the rich rye that permeates the body. Fuck, fuck, fuck, this is a great beer.

50cl bottle thanks to Joes. Pitch black, opaque color, no head. Smell dark and roasted malts, moccha, dark chocolate. Taste dark and roasted malts, moccha, actually would say oatmeal instead of rye. Bottle at CGarvie tasting. It pours very dark with a small beige head. The nose is light roasted malt, dark fruit, berry and earth. The taste is rather fruity as well, dried fruit, berry, bitter-sweet aspect, light roast, spice, brown bread, cocoa and some alcohol warmth. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Good balance and flavour. Rather drinkable.
