Cuivrée trouble, col blanc.
Pas grand chose à dire ici, c’est bien 100% tourbé tout en gardant une belle base maltée mais qui reste cependant au titre indicatif. Pale, fully hazy yellow beer, under a small off-white head. Very smoked, with peat indeed, tarred gulfbreakers. Peat, tarr, Lapsan Souchong,... Sample @ Leuven innovation Beer Festival #1 - Color: hazy pale blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: domination of peat and earthy. Notes of malt, and really small caramel presence. Taste: very nice blast peat, with good taste and and balance of malt. Good persistence, and well balanced. Aftertaste: finish peat and malty. Thanks for sharing! Sampled bottled @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Hazy brown, little head. Nose is peated but the peat carries an oily, plastic, smoked quality, too plastic, no balance obviously, faint sweetness,… Taste is same, big plastic oily peat, very plastic & peated, smoke, light iodine, touch creamy chocolate quality underneath, tad chemical,… Lightly fizzy,… Unbalanced gimmick obviously. Not much to say here with nothing else the peat obtained a way plastic quality. Passable esp. for what it is.

Bottle from humlebingen.com, cheers! Lots of peat, asphalt and iodine above all. At least too much for my liking. It also has got a honeyish, citrusy touch and is surprisingly soft in terms of the mouthfeel. The aftertaste comes again with a punch of iodine. Cloudy deep blond color with quite small head, not persistent. The aroma is intense, very smoked, nothing as fat as the Bamberg beers or iodine as the Islay whiskey; it’s closer to a smoked mackerel; some iodine appears later. Good body strength; moderately sweet; the smoke takes strong wood notes and some light acidity that is out of tune; it’s a bit salty; correctly bitter.
Interesting, but the aroma is much better than the flavor and final.

Sampled from bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub, thanks Jaap! Murky yellowish brown color, virtually no head. Aroma is huge huge intense smoke, peat, fingerpaint and iodine. Taste is surprisingly doable, peat, iodine, fingerpaint and smoke again but way more balanced and soft than you would expect from the aroma.
