Bottled, from Vinmonopolet, Tromsö. Hazy golden, small head. Huge peat aroma. Sweet and fruity with near full body and rounded mouthfeel. Loads of peat and tar - like a beer version of Laphroig, but also with plenty of fruity honey sweetness. Mid bitter finish. Hugely smoky, but still quite pleasant. It may not work too well as a thirst quencher, but their ’almost undrinkable’ warning seem a little exaggerated. madmitch76 (25537) - , Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2013

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Massive peaty TCP nose - pretty off putting. Smooth palate, soft and a little dry. Creamy malt, loads of peat and TCP but not as much as you would think from the snout. Well buried are dried fruits. Smooth dry finish. It kinda wins you over this beer, just got to get past the nose.
Bottle 25 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear golden with a white head. Thick aroma of burned aroma - while the iodine and peat is more downplayed. Sweet maltiness, ashes and again heavily rubbery. Some late bitterness. I’m a little confused here as I usually associate the burned rubber with Bamberg kinda smoke while the peatiness and iodine isn’t all that pronounced here - especially since this is supposed to have 100% peat. Oh who cares, thick smoky beers really should be banned by government decree. 180313 Beerhunter111 (22442) - P´Castle, GERMANY - SEP 6, 2014
