(Bottle) Black colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with sweet espresso, liquorice, spices (cinnamon, anise, a touch of ginger) and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with notes of strong black coffee, liquorice, cacao, cinnamon, ginger, anise, cardamom and a balanced roasty bitterness. Full body, with slightly oily texture and a certain sweetness. Tasty, complex and quite well balanced. Very nice. espenra (1016) - Kurland, NORWAY - NOV 19, 2016
25cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Batch 1001. Brewed 2013-07-19. Best before 2017-07-19.
It poured a pitch black colour with no noticeable head. Aroma is roasted malts, liqorice, dark cocoa and coffee. Flavour rich and complex, yet a bit more thin than one would expect. Lots of roasted malts and liqorice. Spices and some herbal notes. Alcohol is noticable, but fairly well balanced hidden. Oily texture. Overall a very nice beer and I feel this should have been batch # 1000, although hindsight is 20/20. OminouSC2 (896) - Mora, SWEDEN - JUL 10, 2016

Now this is a beer! Just like the 1000 but on crack with wonderful chocolate and and roast malt flavors. Great light body with a complexity of flavors... The best Nogne beer I’ve had to date!

Botella 25 cl de el Lupulo Tomada en el momento en Belmonte 14..01..2015. Lote 1001 elaborado en 19..07..2013 hasta 19..07..2017. (r142). Color negro con espuma beige oscuro. Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is roasted, milk chocolate, hint of spice, taste is similar, sweet, bitter, light sourness. Idiosynkrasie (7952) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 9, 2015
250ml bottle. Opaque, quasi black colour with late awakening, small, frothy, widely fading, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, cautious, slightly unpleasant, floral-herbal soapy interludes, probably ginger, a lavender touch as well, hints of aniseed. Taste is chocolately dark malty, slightly roasty, a nuttily touch, floral herbal interludes, hints of ginger, aniseed; dry, roasty dark malty finish. Better basic beer than the #1000, therefore the spices are more disturbing than an upgrading or intriguing addendum in this case. ngeaney (97) - SWEDEN - AUG 30, 2015
The aroma was puzzling me in the beginning, was I drinking a porter or a stout and it really developed into stout like characteristics as it adjusted to the room temperature. Lovely aroma, packed with bitter dark chocolate, tobacco, leather, dark fruits and some hard roasted espresso.
The flavor on this beer is really nice, rich and creamy and packed with stout to Russian Imperial Stout qualities. Lots of dark chocolate, dark roasted malts and coffee, but did not get any spices coming through here beside some vanilla.
