Editor’s note: Originally a special brew made for Aku Aku Tiki Bar in Oslo, but some kegs found their way to other pubs as well. Later on changed name to Lemongrass as Aku Aku Tiki Bar quit buying it.

I don’t know about this one. Perhaps a misstep for this usually superb brewery. A nice pale ale, but the lemon grass is a bit overwhelming, both in aroma and taste. After all of the double IPAs, Imperial stout, tripels, etc. at BBF, it was still a welcome ALMOST-session beer.

Hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Smells like toilet refreshner, lavender and shampoo. Tastes lavender and toilet refreshner also. Okay carbo, light body.

Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2011
Draught @ BBF’11: Small white head on top of a light hazy yelow colored beer. Smell herbs, tea, hops, light citrus and lemon. Taste tea, herbs, some light hops, soap. Low carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, low to medium body and a watery texture.

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2011
Draught @ BBF2011. Hazy golden pour, thick white head. Aroma of Chinese spices and tea. Flavor is dry, watery and spicy. Reminds me of nasi goreng. Intriguing.

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival @ De Molen, Bodegraven. Lcear yellow color, white head. Don’t smell much, just some refreshing lemon. Taste is fresh with slightly sour hints. Too much carbonation in my opinion.

Draft at BBF 2011, courtesy of the crew. Interesting spice aroma. Taste is better, fresh, sour, oily. Decent.
