Dark brown red colored, little beige head. Chocolaty, again recognicable Nogne yeasty and rather hopped aroma, some aromatic perfumy notes also come up. Medium bodied. Flavor is also well hopped with this same perfumy note, some chocolate and caramel also in start. Aftertaste is again good Nogne one with yeast and dry hops. Comments: Surprisingly different from the regular pale ale, this is far fruitier, toastier, yeastier and while more complex, not holding the same purity and cleanliness.
Bottle. Hazy reddish amber with a large off-white head with a reddish hue. Cloying caramelly malt aroma with dusty potatoe cellar notes and an all too clear alcohol note. Medium bodied with smooth mouthfeel. Lacks in balance, short finish. beerbuzzmontreal (3486) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 6, 2007
Pours a cloudy amber color with big chunks of yeast and a thin offwhite head. Good aroma of spicy hops and toasted malt. Good flavor of spicy hops, fruits and malt, there’s also a peppery feeling, maybe it comes from the hops. The body is light and oily with soft carbonation. Amber ales often tend to be boring but this one is quite enjoyable. tykjen (183) - Florø, NORWAY - AUG 1, 2007
A nice amber ale with a not too pungent hoppy aroma. Some of the characteristic american hops are taking the lead, but then they blen with some nice malty caramel notes. Medium body and a bit thin and short finish. A good beer, but I would prefer either a maltier profile or more bitterness. As it is now it is a good beer, but it falls a inbetween.

500ml bottle (SOPP2007, Helsinki)
Rich brown colour, with a small head. Alcoholic and sweet soapy aroma. Taste is very full - a bit sweet and alcoholic, but also chocolatey and as the taste fades it leaves an oaky wood finish - very nice. Tranquillity (2564) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 28, 2007
Bottle @ SOPP, Helsinki. A bit soapy aroma with some fruit. Red/amber colour, thick beige head. Good oak taste, grapy bitterness. Nice long finish. sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 26, 2007
(Bottled) Very hazy dark amber-brown with a smallish, creamy head. Pleasantly aromatic-hoppy, rye-malty and slightly yeasty aroma. Full-malty, ryeish, somewhat yeasty flavor with some warming alcohol, and pleasantly balancing, aromatic hops. A truly beautiful and balanced amber ale with a very clear Nogne fingerprint. 50 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Hazy amber colour with a nice light brown head. Nice malty aroma with notes of chocolate. Nice tasty flavour of caramel, and fruitness from the hops. Ends up quite bitter and tasty. hellomynameis (877) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - JUL 7, 2007
An interesting amber. Nice malty aromas with a bit of hop presence. Full bodied with a bit of fruit and more nice malty taste. Dry finish with some bitter hops.
