COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rather malty brew, which we think goes very well with cheeses - even well matured blue cheeses. You can also try our Amber paired with a grilled dish. Recommended serving temperature 10°C/50°F.

Ingredients: Maris Otter, Munich, and caramel malt; Chinook and Williamette hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

14°P, 30 IBU, 6.0 ABV.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2005) Amber/dark orange, beige/yellowish head. Hoppy citric aroma with dry grassy notes. Malty flavor with some citric hoppy notes. Quite a nice ale.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Chelmsford Beer Festival, July 2005. Mid amber colour. Soft malt aroma. Plummy fruit and mellow hops on the palate. Off dry and medium bodied. Well balanced and easy drinking, but it didn’t excite as much as some of the brewery’s other beers.

RBESG05: Amber in colour, funny that. Mild floral hops. Mild nutty caramel. A bit bland but a nice session ale.

Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting 05. Treacle appearance. Fairly plain Bitter - ESB stylee, if you ask me. Warming on the finish, but not thru the alc. Treacle, plastic, malt. Not very exciting.

Bottle
Pine, flowery and perfumed hop aroma. Cloudy brown amber colouring. Honeyish malt, some yeast edges, a good portion flowery hops, citrus. Dry bitter finish, perfumed retronasal. Medium body, fizzling mouthfeel. Goodie.

[email protected] Beer Festival. After having their Porter, Imperial Stout and India Pale Ale, this was always going to be a little bit underwhelming. Lightly sweet nutty characters, with some citrusy aromatic hops in the finish, some bitterness. Quite tasty.

50 cl bottle. Served in Nørrebro Bryghus IPA glass. Slightly hazy deep amber color. Nice, creamy, off-white head w/ good lastability. Pleasant, fresh, citrusy hop aroma. The flavor is nicely citrusy w/ pleasant, caramely sweetness. Dry finish. Good drinkability. A pleasant, well-balanced, hoppy ale.

Bottled. One of four Nøgne Ø beers traded with Sigmund (Thanks a lot) and the lowest rated on the site. However it’s a real beaut and makes me very excited about trying the others. Obviously amber in colour with an initial off-white head. Thearoma is malty with some sweet chocolate powder notes. The taste has fruits, malts and again some chocolate notes. Quite bittersweet and very tasty. My first Norwegian micro - Good stuff.

Pours unclear deep amber colored with a fine tan head. Caramel and plenty of hops in the aroma with a fine balance. Good roasted and hoppy flavor with a bitter end and some nutty and spicy hints. Fresh and well balanced with a good drinkability!

Amber with nice head. hint of fruit in the aroma. Good refreching and balanced taste with hops and wood in a dry aftertaste.
