Gangstergafje (1228) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - SEP 3, 2017
03-09-2017; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are not bad, but they are rather simple. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow. The beer has a slight haziness, but it's still easy to look trough it. On top of the beer a lot of rough but sturdy white foam is formed. Foam retention is very good. After a rather long time still a lot of frothy foam is left. Nice. The smell of the beer is rather mild. To bad. There are some sweet malts and also some rather sweet fruity aromas. Not bad. There are also some lovely bitter aromas, with a hoppy hint. The taste of the beer is a lot stronger. It is quite nice. Sweet malts, a touch of fresh fruits like some apple and some nice bitter, yet fresh, hops. The hops are very bitter, but the beer remains quite balanced. Not bad. I like it. The hop flavour is very pure. The palate of the beer is nice. Medium light body, rather smooth texture and rather low carbonation. The finish is nice. It has a nice slightly dry bitterness, followed by some nice hoppy fresh flavours. All in all, a nice beer. I like it.

Foffern (1963) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUL 24, 2016
Bottle at restaurant, Asker. The colour is clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of grass, leather, wood, bread and citrus fruit. Similar flavour but with more hops and grassy tones. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and balanced bitterness. A solid and well-balanced bitter.

PalCabral (162) - SWEDEN - MAR 30, 2016
Bottle from COOP Trysil. Pours hazy orange with a big fluffy head that settles to small islands of scum. The aroma is most enticing, passionfruit and apricots. The taste is mainly hoppy bitterness but the malt delivers a noce backing of sweetness and finesse. Too bad it’s only 4.5%. Loved it.
