Bottled. Mahogany colour, rich head. Roasty, fruity nose. Soft and rounded with lots of caramel. Salty, nutty and woody, well balanced. Medium bitterness. Restrained but still very flavourful. Imagine a Newcastle Brown, but fresher, maltier, richer and hoppier, and this is your beer... Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark ruby red colour, clear and pretty indeed. Very small head and almost no carbonation - almost English cask appearance. Huge sediment though. A slight indefinable and not completely pleasant nose - roasted somehow. Very malty flavours, roasted malt - light sweetish, soft and pleasant mouthfeel. An incredibly flavourful beer for it’s rather small body. 110705 Travlr (24880) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 30, 2012
