Bottle sampled Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, yeast, and some spiced citrus. Flavor is sweet roasted malt, caramel, coffee, and a hint of chocolate with a crisp and dry finish.

500ml bottle at the Brickskellar. 25% opaque, brown body with a dark tannish brown head, medium-to-fine bubbles. Semi-sweet caramel and chocolate malts instantly picked up, along with some toffee, tobacco and sweet nuts. Hop level is moderate, maybe a little heavy for a brown ale but very light overall, and there’s the faintest hop scent that almost smells like some dried wood. I don’t detect any roast, but the biscuit character is certainly there. Really committing to the nose can bring up some sweet cedar wood and black cherries, or maybe what I’m thinking of is cherry scented pipe tobacco, along with a sugared, caramel and cherry candy note. Body is average, proper for the style, with a mildly frothy texture on the tongue. A good brown ale, but I find the entire style a bit lacking.

Thanks to akevitt for sharing. Pours a cloudy, dark brown body with off-white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, and bread with a hint of hops. Body seems a little weak and watery. Flavors of burnt malts, coffee, and hops. Aftertaste is clean and slightly watery with coffee and burnt malts.

Bottle. Aroma of some spice and light roasty malts. Black body with the mahagony hue when held to light with decent tan head. Flavor light roast with a creamy texure noticable. Mild spicey bitter also. Easy on the palate with carbinated belch on the finish.

Aroma is not strong, but malty and yeasty with an undertone of miso (a salty Japanese seaweed-based flavoring). Color is a rich dark chocolate brown with a fairly thick pale beige head. Flavor is malty with just a hint of hops and salt. Texture is smooth and just a little thin, but still pleasant and satisfying. Congratulations Red Wings!!!

Bottle @ home. From the brewery. While being a gusher this is still a really nice brown ale with a delicate but quite intense milk chocolate aroma and taste. Flavors also include nuts, bread, coffee, fruits. Quite alot of coffee in the aroma too. Mouth feel is dry, with a bit of brown ale soapiness, slightly acidic by roasted malts. Balanced bitterness.

Fles 0.5L @ Farris Bad hotel Larvik. Donker roodbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig, licht zoet met iets rook en caramel. Erg Goed.

25-FEB-2017, bottle @home, from Meny. Hazy Brown with a low, lasting, tan head. Roast. Caramel, coffee. Medium body, sweet, bitter for a Brown Ale. Quite hoppy. Nice Little brew. Did not guess the 4,5% ABV. Very tastefull for this low ABV.

Bottled
Dark nut brown, small creamy off-white head. Smokey, roasted, chocolaty nose. Roasted, a bit watery, chocolaty, not very brown ale -like, more like some of the Nögne Ö’s stouts.
