Great beer with a very strong coffee aroma and a well-balanced, pleasant taste. The head is really long-lasting and the palate sesation is as good as it should be. The kind of beer I like. jesperhammer (5017) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 27, 2017
25-FEB-2017, bottle @home, from Meny.
Hazy Brown with a low, lasting, tan head.
Roast. Caramel, coffee. Medium body, sweet, bitter for a Brown Ale. Quite hoppy. Nice Little brew. Did not guess the 4,5% ABV. Very tastefull for this low ABV. Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - FEB 19, 2017
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a fairly dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a slow pace. Wafty wisps of lace.
The aroma had some sweet and toasty malts, light roast. Some milk chocolate and caramel and then a light coca cola, I usually get that in their beers, not sure why.
The flavor leans sweet but a sly earthy to semi-spicy bitterness from the hops makes a decent effort to balance. Doesn’t exactly for the most part. Sly coca cola to nutty and caramel aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Sly carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, decent brown ale leaning towards the English style and sticking to the normal quality of Nogne.
