It’s mahogany-red with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and nuts. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, karamel, licorice, a little nuts and the finish is dry with a touch of citrus – a nice beer indeed! JorisPPattyn (10061) - BELGIUM - AUG 31, 2010
Small but persistent dark-creamcoloured head over beautiful red-brown beer. Bit sourish nose, superimposed upon dark, melanoidin-y malts and some buttery notes. Rosemary aroma. Rather dry, woody flavour, spicy, cacaopowder, and dried juniper or cypress branches. Medium bodied, bit watery but not too much. Little qua aftertaste. Nice, dry brown; spicy and light. gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 12, 2010
Dark color, quite thick tan head. The aroma I would say was pretty mild, "Belgian" spices, yeast, some fruitiness, and "wood".
The taste was also quite mild, some sweetness, malt and spices. Medium body and carbonation. Nuts and burnt tones in the finish. Ok beer but not the most memorable experience.

Tap @Patriks. Light beige head on un-clear brown body. Strong taste of ripe bananas. Not too bitter. Caramel aftertaste. ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 2, 2010
Pours a pretty nondescript brown body and white head. Smell is vaguely malty. Taste is also straight up malty, with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Some subtle coffee notes in the background picks it up slightly, but not enough. Rather drinkable, but not noticeable in any way. Nøgne Ø can do better than this. abstractbeer (242) - NORWAY - MAR 27, 2010
500 ml bottle. Batch 386. I’m drinking this under the influence of a slight cold. Weak smell of forest? Small head which disappears quickly. Dark brown-black colour.
Soft, full, medium bitterness. Pine needles and leather in the aroma, with some sweetness and a hint of rubber. Goes well with licorice, since there’s also licorice in the taste of the beer. Aftertaste like good coffee. abemorsten (3650) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2010

Batch#386. Clear red body with creamy tanned head. Fruity, metallic on the nose. Toffee, caramel, malt and clove one the tongue with tobacco hints in the finish. Sweetnes and bitterness well balanced. Light to medium body with a light carbonation.
Hazy deep mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Flavour had roasted malt, cinnamon, dark fruits and caramel notes. Finished sweet and spicy.
