UPDATED: FEB 6, 2016 AppearancePours a hazy brown with minimal head.
Aroma Roasted coffee, dried fruits, and malt.
TasteModerately bitter and sweet, and just slightly sourish tart.
PalateThe mouthfeel is light and a bit thin, and well carbonated.
OverallThis beer isn’t particularily exciting on its own, but it has a fantastic ability to pair well with all sorts of food; I’ve had luck pairing it with everything from mackerel to beef steak.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Kiellandsplass, Oslo. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, tan head. Mild malty aroma with some roasty notes, caramel, dark fruits and hints of fruits and Belgian yeast. Medium sweet with pleasant, but quite mild flavours. Some bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong, but a bit anonymous. Pretty sure it would work well to food.

mgajdaczewa (2290) - Katowice, POLAND - APR 13, 2014
w aromacie sporo karmelu, kakao, czekolada, orzechy, całkiem przyjemnie.

Brown 0.5L bottle 6% , dark brown foggy body , tan film. Chocolate malts to the nose, some hops, eggs, hints of yeast. Surprisingly mild taste, carefully roasted chocolate malts, caramel notes, floury modest bitterness under it. Seems fruity on palate, don’t know which fruit, mealy, alright body, suitable carbonation. Aftertaste lingers a bit, dark sweet chocolate, malts, sweet fruity grains. Nice indeed. May be go well along with deserts, confectionery, cakes, or just as a nice drink instead of bock or porter. #816B tapped220512 BBF22may15 [email protected], [email protected]

allmyvinyl (11029) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 9, 2013
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark reddish-tinged brown, no head. Aromas of chocolate malt, cereal and iron. Taste has chocolate and coffee, decent balance of bitter and sweet. Medium body, slick texture, short finish. Not the most exciting beer they’ve ever done, but solid enough.
