COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

magdalar (516) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 24, 2012
Draught at Erzbierschof. Pours a cloudy medium brown with a white head. Smells subtle of caramel, malts and some dried fruit. Tastes of a heavy sweet, small bitter. Finishes very dry.

[email protected]’s bar - hazy brown beer under a persistent creamy beige foam; nice lacework on the side of the glass; toasted biscuity maltiness with earthy notes; rounded and sweet palate with some tartness due to a fair but subtle carbonation; late bitterness and a moderateley long malty, nutty and earthy finish

500ml. bottle @ Apoterkergaarden, Grimstad. Nice brown color with amber highlights, nice little creamy head. Aromas of light fruits, caramel, and some sweet malts. Flavors of malt, caramel and some light grapes. Good balance. Very drinkable. But not a belgian ale in my eyes, more of a brown ale.

haakonjo (22) - NORWAY - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown colour. Beige head. Starts slightly hoppy with pine and citrus, while a sweet malty caramel and raisins rounds it off. Really nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak yeasty caramel aroma with weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty sweetish yeasty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty swetish caramel finish.

madvike (3250) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 10, 2012
On tap at Brasserie V - Pours copper with a foamy white head. A touch of tartness in the nose, nutty, with some fruit notes. Taste is very smooth, fruity, with some bready notes. Bold malt with a hint of spice and cherry. Bready finish, subtle yeast notes. A bit of mineral. A little too carbonated and pretty thin. Very interesting.

(Bottled, rated 2011-06-16, Batch 586 (1.2.2011)) Somewhat hazy dark brown with a small, but lasting head. Candi-sugary-malty nose also presents some vegetably-sewery notes. Flavor is a bit better, with malty - although slightly worty - sourish and dried-fruity notes. Not even close to a real Belgian beer, though. Almost medium body, quite carbonated, slightly stingy. Either a bad bottle, or bad attempt to brew a Belgian beer.

3.4
Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2011
From Salling, Aarhus, DK. Bottled, 211211. Brown with beige head. Aroma of malt and nuts. Flavor with dried fruit and caramel
