COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Dark brown.Exploded out of the bottle-not a good start.Slight nutiness but very little real flavour. From the start to the finish this was very disappointing.

mkel07 (6216) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 21, 2011
500ml bottle. Rich dark colour like a christmas pudding. Flat layer of tan foam and fruity aromas of prunes and currants. Well balanced flavours with a complex mix of fruit and malt. A good beer to sit and sip.

altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark brown body with small head. Nose of caramel, yeast, citrus. Taste is caramel and malts. Nice texture that is fizzy, but also well-rounded. Quite smooth overall. Nicely done.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. The pour is a muddy, murky deep brown with a thin white head. Really no head formation. Nose is pretty muted. Mild berries and fruit juice. Taste is similar- very thin fruit juice with prickly carbonation. Very odd. Goes quite chalky and intensely bitter with small cinnamon spice. But really odd. Perhaps over attenuated? Certainly inoffensive but really doesn’t bring forth a lot of discernible character. If given to me in a Juicy Juice box, I would probably not once stop to think if I had been secretly given beer.

AshtonMcCobb (6785) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 6, 2011
50cl bottle. Pours an opaque coffee colour with a decent head. The nose is chocolatey with a slight burnt coffee note. The taste is more of the same but the coffee is dominant this time. The palate is good - nice texture after a medium sized body and then cleans ok. Overall, yep another great reproduction of a style by Nogne. Is there any style they can’t do?

brownyonder (266) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 3, 2011
Pours a cloudy brown with a thin creamy white head. Smells of banana bread. Banana, yeast and malt in the mouth. Lighter than I expected.
