50cl bottle at Olympen. Batch 386. Brewed 2008-10-07. Best before 2013-10-07. It poured a dark red brown colour with a big off-white creamy head that settled down slowly in the glass. The aroma is sweet with notes of hops, malts, brown sugar, cereal and some fruits. The flavour is also sweet and tastes of malts, yeast fruits and pale chocolate. It has a short and a bit watery aftertaste, but all in all this is a very good and drinkable beer. JohnRMurdoch (4865) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUL 29, 2013
500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Dark chestnut brown, reasonable head. Nutty malt aroma &flavour, smooth with sweet aftertaste. Not normally my favourite style of beer but I like this one. Hoppy_Luke (1886) - Poznań, POLAND - APR 27, 2017

50 cl bottle, batch 386.Dark brown color, large off white head. Sweet aroma of malt and hops. Quite sweet flavor, but supriseingly easy to drink. Short thin end. Smaskifa (136) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 29, 2009
Bottle. Poured in a trappist glass, small beige head which goes into the abyss pretty fast - but it sticks to the glass all the way down. Strong aroma of malts, coffee, some toffee and some hints of fruit. Taste of roasted malts, toffee, a bit fruity at the end when the temperature increases. Very pleasant palate, nice carbonation. It’s been a while since my last Nøgne Ø, and this was a good reminder of how great their brews are.

500ml. bottle @ Apoterkergaarden, Grimstad. Nice brown color with amber highlights, nice little creamy head. Aromas of light fruits, caramel, and some sweet malts. Flavors of malt, caramel and some light grapes.
Good balance. Very drinkable. But not a belgian ale in my eyes, more of a brown ale. Florya (2023) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 17, 2015
How: Bottle Appearance: Brown with a tan head. Aroma: Chocolate, roast, coffee, dried fruits. Palate: medium body, smooth carbonation. Rune (12741) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 8, 2009
500ml bottle, batch 386, from Vinmonopolet, Langnes. Light brownish hue with good duration over a deep, dark brown body. Comprehensive beer in both aroma and flavour. Very well balanced smell of just malts and hops. Taste of dark fruits and dark, chocolate malts with underlying spicy acidity. Light hints of yeast. Ends up with lingering hop bitterness. Ashy dryness in texture. Well bodied. I bought a few more bottles to be cellared, should be interesting to re-taste them before Oct.2013 (Tromsø, 07.03.2009). drpimento (3632) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 1, 2009
Had a bottle of this at Christiana’s Resto Pub on the 2nd floor terrace. Poured with a fine creamy head that fades quicly and no lace. Typical of Belgian brown ale. Nutty, roasty, toffee, a little dark ripe fruit. Malt. Very fine carbonation. Bit of a boozy finish. Opaque brown color. Little too rich for a session. Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of candi sugar and dark caramel malt with light dry raisins. Taste is a nice mix between some candi sugars with dark Belgian malt with light fruity ester with dry raisins notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and some good lacing. Very well brewed and more complex then I had anticipated.
