Hops- the best there is in this world! Well, almost. This is a hop driven beer. A beer where it is all about hops. But what kind of hops? We just couldn’t decide which, and used hops from all over the world; England, Slovenia, New Zealand, Czech Republic, USA, Germany and Australia. A total of 13 different types of hops. It does not get better than this!

Ozzak (43) - BERGEN, NORWAY - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle from Matkroken, Landås in Bergen.
Hazy golden color, with dense, slightly off-white foam with pretty good retention.
Lovely tropical cocktail of various fruits. Impressive and appealing. Some pine and resin as well.
Good mouth-feel. Complex flavors that match the aroma.
Stocking up on this for summer!

Bottle. A more or less clear one, golden in color and topped by a small, white head. The aroma is fruity and floral, with mango and peaches. Some maltyness. The flavor is equally pleasant, with the hops playing the major part. Some maltyness and sweetness, and a fine bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Mostly bitter finish. Overall, a tad too sweet to be the refreshing and quenching summer beer I hoped for. Still, it’s a nice beer. 130521

Copper-ish color with white foam. Grassy, hoppy aroma. I like it. Think I can smell the Nelson Sauvin hop, and a bit in the taste. Refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer5000 (6775) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2013
500 ml bottle. Good looking hazy golden orange body with a nice off-white head. Complex hoppy aroma with almost “everything” from the world of hops, citric fruit, tropical fruit, pine, flowers and grass. The aroma has also some fine elements of malt and caramel. Nice flavor dominated by fruity hops, but also a clear malt profile that so often is missing from hoppy pale ales. Quite complex in flavor and delicately balanced between the sweetness from the malt and a rather fair level of bitterness. Nice as a thirst quencher and still enough flavor to be a good match for burgers and barbeque. One of the best hoppy pale ale available at Norwegian groceries at the moment.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle from Matkroken Landås, Bergen. Pours a hazy deep "sunset" yellow-orange body with a medium creamy off-white head. Lookin’ good. Nose is a cascade (no, not the hops) of fruitiness: mango, pineapple, lichi, peaches, grapefruit and rosewater, with hints of pine and wet grass in the back. Lovely. Taste is peachy rosewater-like sweetness up front, with apricot, grapefruit and pine following suit. Hints of wet grass and resin in the finish. Moderately bitter, lingering aftertaste, which makes the beer beg for another sip. Light to medium creamy body, right in the magical intersection between too watery and too full bodied - this is obviously designed for quaffing in the sun, so balance is essential in this matter. A great American pale ale from Nøgne Ø; get it while it’s fresh folks! :-)

Bottle from Meny Trondheim. Batch 943/948a. Golden and murky. Aroma of citrus and grass. Taste is medium hoppy, but quite messy. medium+ bitterness.
Still prefer Lucky Jack in the supermarket.

gunnar (9778) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAY 14, 2013
Bottle from Vaaland, Bryne. Pours hazy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma is strong hoppy, resiny and piney with some fresh citrus. Taste is strong hoppy, crisp and fresh hop mixture, amazing full body for a 4,5% beer. Perfect beer for this summer

TyggaBrown (438) - NORWAY - MAY 14, 2013
I really looked forward to this one. Nice, fruity aroma - just what I hoped for! No surprises in the taste, and in all it turns out to be a great experience. I can recommend this one as one of the better PA’s in norwegian grocery stores!

Gr0ve (2176) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2013
500 ml bottle. Hazy amber. Small fine off-white head. Bready malts and an undecidable hop aroma. Sharp hoppy bite from hops when it enters the mouth. Chewy malts and almost salty bitterness. Nicely balanced. Nice mouthfeel. Lovely new hoppy alternative for the supermarket.
