COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11°P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

3.1
tmrmwel (2275) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 8, 2016
Bottle, batch 1080-c. Pours black, with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with coffee and cocoa, as well as some burned wood. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is roasted malts with bread, notes of cocoa and dark fruits, as well as some earthy, astringent berry notes.

Black with no head. Very thick, like syrup, when pouring. Plenty of sediments. Aroma of biscuits, berries and malt. Weak taste of chocolate, coffee, perhaps caramel. Very little complexity, short aftertaste. Not impressed.

If you expect a smooth bold stout, you will not expect the soury aspect this one has. It is a very drinkable one, creamy, little bit sour red fruits, light roasted malts, nice malty aftertaste. A special light beautiful stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Pours a beautiful dark thick body with a golden white lacing, looks truly delicious. Aroma of biscuits, chocolate, porridge, nuts and raspberry cheesecake. Weak taste of coffee, caramel, wet dog and butch. Looks better than it tastes. A bit boring, but would probably be a decent food beer.

DoctorHU (605) - UKRAINE - NOV 24, 2015
In the aroma tones of dark chocolate, berry, "a leather belt," hints of biscuits. In the taste of smoked zhzhenost, solid berry acidity, a little fruit. The aftertaste zhzhenost becomes tastier, but too quickly lost, leaving only the sweet-and-drag on the sweetness.

0,5 bottle. The aroma is smoked malt. The taste is medium bitter with dark chocolate, roasted malt, oat and some liqourice. Pretty good for a 4.7 beer.

A great looking beer, but lacks character in aroma and flavour. A session stout, but nothing more.

kustie (1312) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 11, 2015
Bottle. Opaque black color with brown head. Aroma has malt, chocolate, roasted malt. Taste malty sweet with quite long sweet aftertaste. Flavors of malt, coffee, chocolate and some syrup.

Dark brown to black appearance with a nice brown head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate, cereal like and freshly ground oats. Nice coffee and dark chocolate aromas with some bitterness in the taste. The taste is quite smooth with lots of roasted malt character, some coffee and nuts in the background with a slightly bitter after-taste. Tobacco and smoke with some burnt notes, unfortunately the body of this beer is quite weak.

4
Nonshaugen (663) - Fetsund, NORWAY - AUG 8, 2015
Batch #1353, bottle. Nice hizz at he opening, foam is high in the bottle neck, but not "over the top". OK, this turned out to BE a bit over the top carbonated, but as expected the foam died down pretty fast in the glass. (Patience You must have, young padowan). It’s black, and it’s foamy, tan to light brown mocca coloured head. Aroma is dark, bitter chocolate, cocoa and coffee up front.. Same flavours in the taste, along with the quite heavy carbonation. I would say it’ has sweet dry bubbling mouthfeel. Not one of their best Outmeal Stout batches, so this rating may be a little unfair.
