Bottled. Black rich beige head. Very chocolatey with notes of coffee. Soft, gentle, velvetty mouthfeel and notes of "knäckebröd" (dry, hard , crispy, burnt bread). The body is medium to light, but the flavours fill your mouth. Warming, despite a low abv. Roasty, salty, coffee finish. A wonderful beer!! davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 20, 2012

Bottle from my Secret Santa: A deep brown hue with reddish highlights and topped by a large frothy tan head and beautiful lace. The aroma has notes of mocha, carmel and burnt malts, aromatic and grassy hops, raisin, apple, and grainy esters. The taste starts with a noticeable twangy fruity and almost lactic sourness which is supported by a rich caramel and mocha tone. The oat nature is detected as runs like blood vessels throughout the beer offering the lifeblood of this "sweet, yet not-so-sweet" stout. The finish has a nice bitter and coffee snap which cleans the palate and produced a wanting for more. Some lingering smokiness as well adds to complexity and depth. The feel however is too carbonated and presents a thin-body. An improvement in this area and this stout would rival Bells and Rogue’s offerings. Despite what I just wrote about the palate feel, this is still one excellent brew and something most stouties should try to acquire from our friends in Northern Europe. I’m glad I did and had the chance to be the first American to rate this beer on the site. Ahhh, thanks again Mads! liinis (1770) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 3, 2008

Black opaque appearance. Super smokey aroma. Taste is dominate by the peat. Medium body and a bit watery despite its creamy appearance. Tried with Paul at the Amundsen brewery in Oslo in 2012. msbernac (2563) - Krakow, POLAND - NOV 6, 2013
