COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We usually do not make compromises, but this is probably the exception. Norwegians are dead scared of dark beers. This is an attempt to show that there are gentle dark ales. As such Havre Stout is smooth and drinkable.

We think Havre Stout is good both with and in food. Try pairing it with a read meet dish, or give your vanilla icecream a small dash before serving. Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11°P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

Bottle. Black beer with a strong off white head. The aroma is lightly roasted with some sweetness, and the flavour has gentle bitterness with mellow coffee bitterness. Overall a nice but fairly mellow flavoured stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl from source bb11/2017. - Kort: typically Norwegian sub-4,7% rendition of a bigger idea, although granted many a UK stout can get much deeply flavourful well under this watermark. - The base ingredients all make sense What lets this oatmeal stout down is its forced thinness, cleanliness and lack of punch and oatmeal mouthfeel. All roast raisin, Nescafe powder aroma and cocoa powder flavours remain suave, soon to become metallic like rainwater in this spineless composition. Good woodsy hop bitterness to the rescue of an otherwise unmemorable, oddly refreshing oatmeal stout.

Black with quick fading head. Aroma has lots of roasted malts and hints of coffee. Flavour is similar but more muted. Nice bittersweet taste.

DraftDodger (1660) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2017
Copenhagen 21/2 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Dark lavel with the charanceristic "Ø" in front of what looks like an sunrise partially drowned in oatmeal. Pours opaque dark brown with beige head. Settles as paper thin layer of foam. Aroma is pretty sweet. Brown sugar, milk chocolate, caramel and milk gone (slightly) sour. Medium carbonation and surprisingly thin palate. Flavor is a little bit more balanced. Medium sweetness partly balanced by medium to light bitterness. Quite thin and light stout. Quite generic. Could use a little bit more character.

Miły posmak tytoniu. Trochę puste. Moje pierwsze zetknięcie z owsianką raczej rozczarowuje.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Opaque black, espresso head. The aroma is mostly chocolate cake, slightly sweet and oily roasty nuttiness. The taste is chocolate cookies, a bit too thin, with a somewhat harsh bitterness with notes of overly roast walnuts.

Just as the description says it is a nice and gentle Stout. Not too expressive but decent enough.

50cl bottle picked up at De Bierkoning, Amsterdam and poured into a snifter on 20-Dec-2016. Dark brown colour with a thick beige coloured head which disappears pretty quickly. Aroma of cocao nibs, coffee, caramel and malt. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of chocolate, coffee and malt with a little toffee sweetness. Light sour with a mild bittersweet finish. Good balance, and a nice stout.
