COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We think the Russian tsar would have liked his stout this way. A dark, rich ale in which a generous sweetness with roasted malt bitterness. Serving temp.10°C/50°F. Great with vanilla ice cream or dark chocolate.

Ingredients: Maris Otter, Munich, roasted barley, oat, black, and chocolate malt; Columbus and Crystal hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

23°P,75 IBU, 9% ABV.

Imperial Stout fra Nøgne Ø er en tett og helt svart ale med stor fyldighet. Smaken domineres av kaffe, sjokolade, lær og tørket frukt. Vi synes den passer bra til mørk sjokolade og kraftige desserter.

Nice rocky brown head. Smells of vanilla, citrus hoppiness, dark chocolate. Tastes of dark fruit, fruitcake, chocolate, shifts to a tangy dark malt and hoppy bitterness and leaves behind a pleasant lingering citrus hop bitterness. Relatively light mouthfeel for what I would expect from an imperial russian stout, but not necessarily a bad thing. Very easy to drink.

Czarne nieprzezroczyste piwo i niezłą ciemną pianą. Aromat nuty palone, kawowe, trochę czekolady. Smak lekko palony, stonowany, kawa, czekolada trochę chleba. Bardzo dobry, klasyczny w smaku stout

500ml bottle from The Grumpy Goat, Reading. Black colour with beige head. Big roasted malts, big espresso, bitter dark roasted coffee, smoky dark chocolate, figs, mocha. Just a really solid, well made impy with no adjunct gimmicks, great.

Aromat: mocny, intensywny, slodki, duzo czekolady gorzkiej i deserowej, praliny, kawa, slody palone, bardzo przyjemny zapach. Wyglad: czarne, nieprzejrzyste, dosyc wysoka, drobnopecherzykowa piana, w kolorze jasnobrunatnym. Smak: pólwytrawne, kawa, palony slód, kawa zbozowa, umami, czekolada gorzka, suszona sliwka, troche pralinek. I ciala moglo by byc wiecej. Jak dla mnie tylko dobre. 8/4/7/4/14

Bottle. Very dark brow with light coffee head. A superbly balanced nose of brown malt, chocolate, burnt malt and sweet vanilla. Medium body, slick palate. Chocolate and vanilla with just a hint of burnt malt. Really an outstanding imperial stout.
