pours clear medium dark golden with a small off-white cap, some retention and lacing. pine needles infused in lightly boozy lager fruitiness, some caramel and nuts, astringent tea, muted citrus, grainy toastiness, peppery yeastiness. some sweetness. average carbonation, light body - oily and a tad too sweet, short and assertive grassy-spicy-piney finish. not so fresh (yeasr old), nicely done but meh, not my style. Bottle. Hazy amber beer with a strong white head. The aroma is well hopped, and the flavour is deeply hopped, dry and bitter with a cooling feel. Overall a really good well hopped and dry beer.

In short: A supposedly lager that tastes like a standard well-hopped fruity IPA. Good beer.tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 22, 2013
How: Bottle 500ml. Consumed more than one year before expiration date.
The look: Mostly clear golden-orange body topped by a persistent small off-white head.
In long: The hop forward nose is very fruity (citrusy, a bit tropical) as well as piney and with also a spicy edge. Taste is citrusy hops on top, tropical hops not far behind, a little doughy sensation (yeast? malts?), crunchy bread crust, some floral honey, dry grass, mineral water. Carbonation is a bit too much, almost like a soda-pop, hard to keep the beer in the mouth. I didn’t find any lager characteristic in this beer, even the mouthfeel was very much ale. A bitterness level in the medium range and a bit more spicy in the finish than I like my IPAs to be. Overall, an average India Pale Ale (even if not technically an IPA). Nothing remarkable here but I’d drink this everyday anyway, I love beer, I love beer so much, my family knows I have a drinking problem but they don’t know how bad it is, more than once I have considered telling my wife I’m giving up beer drinking, watch her have a heart attack, collect the insurance money, buy lots of beer.
Draft at Kraftwork. Pours a orange with some white head and lace. Nose of caramel, pine, grass, toffee, booze, citrus. Medium body, very hot for 7.5%. Decent hop flavor for a lager.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color lager with a huge frothy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of dry floral hoppy notes with light fruity notes and some citrus undertones with a lightly sweet malt base. Taste is dominated by dry floral notes with some citrus undertones and some hoppy notes with a lightly sweet malt base. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very interesting thought so much hops in there you loose sense that this is a lager. NBird (626) - Perth, West Australia, AUSTRALIA - JUN 11, 2013
Dull amber gold with medium head. Smells.. Hops, honey some orange/mandarin and bready malts. Tastes.. Hops, honey, citrus candy flavours, nice grapefruit bitterness. SlackerMads (3583) - DENMARK - JUN 4, 2013
Bottle batch 856. Light hazy yellow/copper with a medium sized good lacing off white head. Citrus, pine, resin, bread, honey, caramel. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. Medium body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Sweet and soft at first, then some bitterness comes trough to a long lasting finish. Maris (1611) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAY 25, 2013
From a 500ml bottle on 26/5/2013 (batch number 856, BB 15/8/2014). Pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium bright white head. The nose is fruity, slightly floral, with a bit of honey and caramel in the mix. Taste wise, there’s lots of sweet stone and citrus fruit (peach, apricot, mandarin), honey, and lots of caramel and some bready malt. Finishes with a strong, bold bitterness featuring some lemon and grapefruit. The body is full and carbonation spot on. That it’s 7.5% doesn’t surprise. A terrific, beautifully balanced beer, and one of the best things carrying the lager label you’re ever likely to try.
