It’s unclear red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, slightly sour barnyard, yeast and licorice. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of spicy yeast, licorice, roasted malt, light coffee and the finish is spicy and dry.

Picked up as a raffle prize from a tasting for Nogne O at Chuck’s here in Chagrin Falls: pours hazy, dirty brown, settling permanent tan ring. Nose is nutmeg, pumpkin, all spice, brown sugar, sweet malt and a bit of cedar. once on the palate, roasted malts, burnt wood, cooked vegetables. coffee acidic bitterness that’s quite dry. Flavorful low ABV beer but it’s kind of weird and not for everyone.

Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 9, 2012
0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Hazy dark brown color. Aromas of old grassy coffee and tart raspberry like fruitiness. Taste is very much the same. Old coffee and tart berries, weird combination.

maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JAN 15, 2012
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Murky, dirty brown pour with a large off white head. Aroma picks up salted smoke and a touch of liquorice. Light smoke in the taste and some belgiany yeast. Not really coming together for me at all. The last Julesnadder was average and this one has come down a few notches again

sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 8, 2012
(Bottled, rated 2011-12-06) Hazy dark red-brown with a small, firm and lasting, beige head. Aroma of Belgian ale meeting Oatmeal Stout; slight dark fruitiness and sourish oatmeal roastiness. Also some anise spiciness present. The flavor is unfortunately way too burned right from the start, and the mild fruitiness and wheaty sourness can’t mask it. Medium body, soft CO2. Nice body for a 4.5’er, but also rough-ashy and hardly drinkable. I was expecting a Belgian Ale, but was really disappointed. Too much burnedness will spoil any beer, but a one with this low ABV, it will kill completely.

Cunningham (8459) - Halden, NORWAY - JAN 7, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 29, 2012 Bottle from Meny, Grønland in Oslo, Norway. A lovely deep amber body with an off white head. At first the beer must have been too cold, becouse it smelled like soap and tasted just as horrible. I put it away but put my nose into it an hour later, then it had a roasted malt and light fruity aroma. The flavour where about the same, moderate roasty and some fruity notes.

espenra (1016) - Kurland, NORWAY - DEC 26, 2011
On tap at Håndverkerstuene. Poured a dark brown colour with a red hue and a massive huge white creamy head. Aroma is sweet. Notes of malts as well as hops and spices. Some caramel and toffee. Flavour is thin as always, byt what can you expect from 4.5% ABV? Notes of malts, spices, caramel and perhaps some smoke. Short aftertaste.

RuneStumo (2721) - Haugesund, NORWAY - DEC 25, 2011
25.12.2011. 0,5l Bottle. Thanks to Gunnar for getting me this bottle from Vaaland, Bryne. Aroma of dark malts. Flavours of dark malts with dry bitter aftertaste. Moderate bitterness. Body is medium and there is a little watery mothfeel. Short dry bitter aftertaste.
