Slightly hazy, medium amber to orange body with a large, creamy, very long-lived eggnog head that laces the glass excellently and stays finger-thick until the bitter end. Hoppy, rather spicy and strong aroma with lots and lots of overripe tropical fruits and orange with a nice caramel background. Strong flavour of slightly overripe tropical fruits, fainter notes of caramel, and citrus and grass in the long-lasting and crisp finish. Light to moderate sweet and quite heavy bitter taste. Crisp, dry and refreshing mouthfeel with a moderate carbonation that decreases quite rapidly, leaving the carbonation soft. A lovely IPA that is surprisingly fresh even though it was bottled last year. thirstyrabbit (1849) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 28, 2014
[50 cl bottle, batch 1079, enjoyed 8 months after bottling, from Vinmonopolet Online]
Bottle. Dark orange body, tall head. Has some floating sediment. Muted aroma with some tropical fruits. Thick sticky mouthfeel. Taste has some fruity hops but it’s not as vibrant as the classic IPA hops are. The bottle is obviously past its prime but what can you do when it showed up on the shelves with already 8 months on it. Where the heck did they keep it that long? I should probably re-rate after a fresher batch becomes available but 1) I doubt it will & 2) with the prices on these Norwegian imports I am not going to bother. Bottle. Browny beer with a strong slightly off white head. The aroma is lightly hopped with some degree of bitterness, and the flavour is very well hopped with a very deep amount of bitterness and some yeastiness. Overall a nice strongly hopped and bitter beer.

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Medium frothy tan head. Dark golden/orange hazy body with a lot of sediments. Aroma is fruity. Grapefruit. Mostly bitter on the tongue. Long lasting bitter aftertaste. Slightly toasted, vinegar, caramel and toffee. Creamy mouthfeel. jamestulloch (4265) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 14, 2014
Bottle from Cornelius. Murky ruby body with a thick off-white head. Clumpy yeast floating around (I made a mess of the pour). Steady carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of mandarin, furniture polish, grass, toffee apple and dough. Flavour of grapefruit, passionfruit and caramel sweetness. Medium body with a smooth, oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A wonderful, full-flavoured IPA. I must try more from this brewery.

Bottle from some random Vinmonopol enjoyed at homefellebag (1538) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2014
Dark copper, quite hazy, massive beige head. Smell of mandarin, zest, some spices and aromatic hops. Moderate sweet, juicy, grapefruit flavors and spices. Medium bitter, spicy with resins.
Disclaimer : My score reflects that Nøgne Ø launch a beer in the norwegian retail market that is already 6 months old.... which an ipa never should be. The malt base and bitterness is fine, but the aromas are not as good as they probably was loooong ago
Bottle 50cl. Yellow foamy big head. Quite clear dark orange color. Aroma is hops, apricot, peach and nettles. Taste is mandarin. Not too bitter. Quite powerful with kind of heavy body. TheCametron (2480) - CZECH REPUBLIC - JUN 15, 2014
Bottle. Hazy Orange Amber with a nice White head. Pine floor cleaner and oily citrus zest. Flavour is a nice toss up between the sweet malty base and the pine. A good dose of citrus peel. Overall seems like an interesting hop strain with a very exotic name. jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with off white head. Nose is heavy citrus, with mandarin definitely leading the way. Taste is sweet and citrusy with a bitter finish. Solid ipa. jmgreenuk (9863) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JUN 7, 2014
Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok on the tap takeover/meet the brewer evening. Poured a hazy medium amber with a round bubbly head and a little broken lace. This is becoming a theme with Nøgne beers these days. The aroma is big mandarin citrus. Did this really ONLY come from the hops? The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a smooth rich citrus hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I’m so glad those hops found their way to Grimstad!
