We have passion for dark beers here in Grimstad. This beer you are holding is a luscious and full bodied stout that we have carefully aged on licorice root and vanilla beans. We brewed this dark ale with several varieties of caramelized sugars for a rich and smooth finish with sutble notes of toffee and vanilla. All of our beers are unpasteurized and unfiltered so please pour carefully to leave the sediment behind.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a mix of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes, light residual sugar, some cacao and light vanilla notes. Body is full with oily texture and good carbonation. Solid imperial stout with good drinkability and good level of complexity.

Eructoblaster (4549) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 16, 2018
On tap at L'Autre Œil (Gatineau, Qc). Opaque, black body with an average, lasting, beige creamy head. Rich malty/hoppy aroma with dark chocolate and roasty hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its well balanced malty taste carries hoppy, roasty, chocolate, and yeasty notes. Ends with a long, moderately warming, bittersweet finish. Good stuff.
