Tap at brewdog. Brown with an off white head. Aroma of spice, largely cinnamon and oak, damp wood. Taste is similar, oak with cinnamon and some caramel and toffee. Little sweet with a clean finish. Not bad.
Draft at Whole Foods Plymouth. Hazy ruby pour with ecru head. Nose was dark fruit, yeasty funk, vienna malty. Dark fruity flavor, semi-dry to dry on the palate, earthy brown ale flavors. Complex and smooth finish. MarcoDL (4920) - NETHERLANDS - APR 21, 2014
Weird beer. Very malty, but also a bit sour and tardy. Fruity, but also earthy. Nice, but a bit strange. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2012
On tap at Borefts 2011. Poured a murky brown with a tan head. Aroma of fruit, nut and malt. Medium bodied, flavour is wooden, nutty with some chocolate malt. Sweet woody aftertaste. teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 11, 2012
On tap at Brewdog Camden. it pours a hazy dark ruby/brown colour with a small tanned head. Aroma is sweet with figs, plums, raisins, roasted matls and just a touch of hops and vinegar. Taste is similarly on the sweet side, with a slightly sour finish. Nice vinegary quality in the finish, but not upfront for sure. Dark fruits, malt and caramel. Body is oily with medium carbonaiton. Overall, interesting, but I think a bit more sour profile would make this an outstanding beer. The base is there.

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Dark brown, murky color. Firm beige head. Aroma’s of fresh wood (oak), bourbon, vanilla, some malty sweetness. Still lots of wood in the flavor, only mildly sweet & bitter. Body is thin to medium. Low carbonation. Finishes bitter with still a lot of wood.
